Confessions of an online porn addict: Meet the woman who has watched over 400 HOURS of adult content since she was 14... but now helps others kick the habit
400 hours... since she was 14? Given she stopped when she was 21, that's just over an hour of watching porn a week. If she's got a problem, let's hope the Mail never hears about any of us. For a number of reasons.

This made me chuckle, whilst I love this city for all its faults; the people who researched this 'article' obviously didn't go down 'The Mickelgate run' on a weekend. Stag and Hen do's usually from...Newcastle/Gateshead/South Shields vomiting and or urinating in the streets at about six o clock in the evening and then it get worse.
http://www.independent.co.uk/news/wo...-10096067.html And then there's the Ebor Races which also go on all weekend...Whoopie Doo.

Used to love a run ashore in York. Very peaceful and calm even when the Kings Div Depot trained infantry recruits at Strensall. York Police were very responsible and I saw them calm things down on several occasions. Teesside police would have gone in boots flying but the York boys knew all about conflict resolution.

Lies, deceit, stupidity and blame-ingredients for a soap opera storyline you might think but no, in this case it could not be further from that. This is the breathtaking cover-up and lying perpetrated by the Governemt, police and other officials in the Hillsborough Disaster of 1989. For years all fans have thought that something wasn't right and families campaigned for justice for the dead 96 fans who were crushed when a gate was opened and more fans than the stadium could hold flooded in.
We now learn that the man in charge of the event at the time, the Commander was Chief Superintendent David Duckenfield has absolutely no knowledge of how to police something like this and admits he was the wrong man for the job. What idiot appointed him in the first place? And as we also found out the Liverpool fans were blamed yet again - exonerated of this in 2012 - for drunken behaviour. Someone has to take responsibility for this and the sooner that happens the better and the families can get some kind of closure.

What is responsibility Greenman?
What are the facts. There was a surge of fans going from the pubs to the stadium. Yep there is such an event at most games most weekends though it is always much worse for the bigger games. The turnstiles couldn't cope and there was a crush of bodies. A police Sgt has already said that if he had been in control he would have opened the gate because people were being crushed outside the ground. The gates were opened to alleviate one crush but that just pushed the problem into the ground. The crush on the terraces then occurred and couldn't be relieved because of the anti hooligan fences. People not in those crushes, unless they have previous experience, have no idea what it is like to be in one. The shameful thing about this affair was the actions of senior policemen who instead of admitting that their men were out of their depth in a situation they were not used to tried to put the blame not only on the fans but then to suggest that the fans committed criminal acts. |

Jeremy Clarkson, Top Gear host, suspended by BBC after 'fracas'

The basic factor in all this was Hillsborough should never have been used for a football match of that standard - in 1986 I think it was both Everton and Liverpool fans were literally being pulled up walls into stands behind Wembley stadium as they were desperate to get into that FA Cup Final even if it meant risking their lives - lessons should have been learnt then - this was a club, indeed still is a club, where fans will do anything to see their beloved team especially in any big final.
Back in 1989 there was no understanding of this it seems and the ground was not big enough to hold the vast majority of the fans. I seem to recall some people voiced their concerns about Sheffield Wednesday's ground at the time but the FA failed to respond to those concerns. Responsibility for this, and opening a gate has to be accounted for and someone needs to admit they made a mistake-one policeman doesn't make it better, someone HIGH UP at the time should hold up their hands and admit they got it wrong. Instead all we got was a series of lies, cover-ups and it seems buck-passing between various police forces and the Government did absolutely nothing to investigate it further, blaming the fans. I don't say that some fans weren't to blame, I am quite prepared to believe a few had been 'tanked' up hours before, but you cannot blame ALL fans especially those younger of the family members who lost their lives needlessly because of one horrendous mistake. What angers me and other fans is the Government and police covered things up and it is only now that a proper inquiry(lasting three years so far) has finally thrown up the real facts. Whether these families finally get the answers they need is anyone's guess at the moment, but I sincerely hope they get them SOON. Wasn't Clarkson warned last May it was his final chance? However that was public cockups, surely this is an internal thing and not one that impacts on the general public or citizens of a foreign country being outraged by his latest antics. I think he is finished if he is not reinstated OR he gets ONE final chance - after all his show is one of the biggest and most popular exports in the world and if he had to leave I suspect another channel would welcome him with open arms knowing what sort of ratings Top Gear generates. The BBC need to think about this one carefully - who knows there could be a backlash by TG fans

Sorry to say that I'm no longer a Top Gear regular viewer. The show doesn't do it for me anymore and I just wish it was a little more grown up. That said, Clarkson remains a major BBC asset and should he part company with the corporation, Top Gear will effectively be finished. Of course, Clarkson will immediately be snapped up by another TV channel, or someone like Amazon or Netflix.
