Brazil striker Robinho given prison sentence for 2013 rape
Brazilian footballer Robinho has been sentenced to nine years in prison for taking part in the gang rape of a woman in Milan in 2013.
An Italian court ruled the 33-year-old and five other Brazilians assaulted the Albanian woman, who was 22, after plying her with alcohol in a nightclub. The forward, who left AC Milan in 2015 after five years, was not in court but pleaded not guilty via his lawyer. The sentence will be put on hold until the appeals process is completed. Robinho, capped 100 times by his country, spent two years at Manchester City and currently plays for Atletico Mineiro in Brazil. Full details: http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/42103736

what can one say, after a season thus far that has been pants, to say the least a creditable draw and almost everyone turns up. Marco removes his invisible man cloak and puts in a MOM performance. If only Masuaku could control and cross a football.
No complaints though, if they put in a shift, win, lose or draw, I'm happy. Everton next and can we keep up the attitude. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kamXvqoL_JA somewhat excited by our performance. |

Talking of 'Walls', we came up against another one at Wembley today.
Liverpool and West Ham came to play there. But failing to break down Swansea, Burnley and West Brom at home isn't promising. Palace was only 1-0 and Bournemouth!!! They were putting fours and fives against this opposition at WHL last season!!! |

Just at the point where you needed to consolidate and take the next step up, Spurs have gone backwards. It looks to me like those little changes are making just enough collective difference and in football, that's all that's needed. |

I read earlier ~ in the ink media ~ about a "possible" mental-block-anxiety amongst the 'home' players. And the enhanced enthusiasm of visiting players
and it was put down to WEMBLEY. That may be where pierrelm's little % improvements are focused After all, Prem Players ot not, 80-90% of the visiting players will never ever play at Wembley again. So, in that respect, it is an encouragement and highlight in their careers. One to savour and perhaps try a bit harder. Who knows. |

The additions haven't made a positive difference; Sanchez hasn't impressed and his defending yesterday for the goal was pathetic. Trippier is great going forward, but neither he or Davies are as solid as Rose and Walker. Those little differences can make all the difference. As for Wembley, I haven't been to the new stadium, but it looks like it lacks the atmosphere of WHLane - in the same way that West Ham miss Upton Park, I reckon Spurs fans would prefer to be back in a 'proper' ground again. |

Trouble is Spurs the team arent all English so Wembley being a huge factor is a bit of a myth The difference in the size of the pitch how ever is very real Spurs high pressing game works best on the confines of smaller grounds like WHL Wembley to them has actually been quite good if you look at the Champions League 4 wins & a draw - topped their group - defeating Real Madrid & Borussia Dortmund As for the lesser teams - they fear Spurs attacking prowess so they park the bus and hope for a draw 0-0 or a lucky 0-1 They arent alone in the EPL with this method - you can blame the success of Leicester Maybe its time the EPL went the Japanese route with no draws then parking the bus wouldnt be an option?
