I'm not familiar with Karen, and had trouble making a match with the mystery pic.

According to the good folks at Wonderclub, the cover-girl is Lorraine Gilbey; who also appears nude inside.

Karen Townsend appears to have been featured in a pictorial, in the same issue.

Thanks for the input guys but to be honest I don't think it's either of them .
I've got a copy of Mayfair from the 80s with Suzanne Mizzi on the cover but she doesn't appear inside .
( although she did in a later edition)

I wonder if the 71 girl was just a very pretty model who would only do implied nudity ?
I've kind of fell in love with her so cute she looks on that cover it would be nice to know who she was regardless ?

Looking again if its either one its Karen Townsend but the photograph on the mayfair cover has caught a real beautiful look to her that's missing in her other stuff .

The second cover in the Mayfair thread has the best resolution--thanks to inversions.
Best (slightly) resolution of KT in Mayfair is here.

Mystery/cover model has bangs, KT doesn't. Difficult to say much else by way of features comparison.

Mayfair covers of that era sometimes featured models not inside, and sometimes models from later/upcoming issues.

I don't think it is Karen Townsend .
She just isn't as cute as the girl on the cover .
I would still have given her a lift home in my Capri gxl if I was around at the time but she just isn't as pretty as the cover star .

Mayfair using upcoming models as cover stars is an interesting thought .

There's going to be some disappointed eBay buyers who have paid a big premium for that magazine in the last few weeks only to find out she's not in it .
Or mistake her for Karen Townsend who bears a resemblance but doesn't have the same wow factor .

I wanna know who she is !
She's like a girl who would be draped on George Bests ( or even George Lazenbys ) arm on the kings road back then .
And I want more of her !
