Moonlight Graham: We just don't recognize life's most significant moments while they're happening. Back then I thought, "Well, there'll be other days." I didn't realize that that was the only day.

These are a few of my favourite quotes
These are some quotes by authors unknown to me. If you know who should get credit, please send me a message so that a small fraction of my fathomless ignorance will be cured. On the other side of the coin, I have no reluctance to 'improve' anonymous quotes and make them mine. Sort of. Common sense is what tells us that the earth is flat and that the sun goes around it The Conclusion is simply the place where the author got tired of thinking Confidence is what you feel before you actually understand the problem Consciousness is that annoying time between naps A Crucial memo can be snared by the paper clip of another document, and never seen again Cynics are right nine times out of ten but because they believe that it’s ten for ten, their reputation suffers greatly Dancing is a vertical preamble to a horizontal scramble Dawn is nature’s way of telling you to go to bed A Day without sunshine is like a day in Seattle Delusions that allow you to function are better than unbearable realities

Democracy must be more than two wolves and a sheep voting on who to have for dinner A Dieter’s toughest problem is not watching what they eat, but watching what others eat Dijon Vu: the same mustard as before Distance makes the heart grow fonder Don’t argue with a fool: what if the spectators aren’t able to tell the difference? Don’t be irreplaceable: if you can’t be replaced, you can’t be promoted Don’t fight fire with fire; remember, the fire department uses water Don’t let your mind wander, it’s too little to be let out alone Don’t marry for money, it’s much less trouble to borrow it Don’t take life too seriously, you won’t get out alive

We can't have everything cause where would We put it ? I think all things are alive. If they’re not, how do they fuck you over so much? People don't become better when they're dead; you just talk about them as if they are. But it's not true! People are still assholes, they're just dead assholes! I don't think it's fair to be waving your dick around when people are minding their own business and might not want to see it. Death is an inevitability, isn't it? You become more aware of that when you get to my age. I don't worry about it. I'm ready for it. When I go, I want to go doing what I do best. If I died tomorrow, I couldn't complain. It's been good.

Brian Epstein
I am determined to go through the horror of this world. But I think travelling around and going around the world and making arrangements for moving around is the most difficult thing, 'cuz you don't know what's going to happen. Well, then we got to know each other and eventually worked out a bit of idea of management. Ringo, the last to become a Beatle, came into the group not because I wanted him, but because the boys did. To be completely honest, I was not at all keen to have him. I thought his drumming rather loud, his appearance unimpressive, and I could not see why he was important to the Beatles. But again I trusted their instincts and I am grateful now. He has become an excellent Beatle and a devoted friend. Ringo is warm and wry-witted, a good drummer, and I like him enormously. He is a very uncomplicated, very nice young man. It is inescapable that Ringo was the catalyst for the others. He certainly completed the jigsaw and The Beatles, with Ringo, became a magnet for the great camera artists of the world, a target for the jaded, lately hostile eyes of people who had hardly known that popular music existed. |
