Default Linking Threads & Posts

How do I link one thread to another.

For example, I have noticed a picture in a thread that I am sure would be of interest to another member who has asked a question in another thread. How do I refer him to it or put a link to it in the second thread.

Also if someone is looking for something particular, and I know it is in another thread, I would like to link the two

Help please?

If you want to link a particular thread just go to the first page of it and copy the address bar at the top of the screen, if it's a particular post, click on it's number on the top right of the post, it will open in a new window, open that window and copy the address. Then just paste the address in your post like so

The first two steps of the tutorial quoted above can be compressed into 1 :

Move the mouse pointer to the link of a thread's 1st page (at the top and bottom of the page) or the post's number as shown in the post's top right corner. When the mouse pointer changes shape click on the mouse's right button to open the context menu.
In the context menu select "Copy link location" (Firefox) or "Copy Shortcut" (IE) and then proceed with step 3 of the tutorial.

Tip : Removing the "&postcount=###" part from a post's link avoids the link to point to the wrong post after a thread is cleaned and the original post's count number has changed because of it.
