I've got all of Steve Alten's books to date and hopefully the Kronosauruses will also tag along for the ride
A link on the second article mentions a possible Crank3.
Bloody hope so, Crank2 was totally nuts!

Saw the preview for Glass (coming to U.S. theaters in January 2019)

https://www.imdb.com/title/tt6823368/

M. Night Shyamalan's sequel to Split (2016) https://www.imdb.com/title/tt4972582/ and Unbreakable (2000) https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0217869/ which according to WIKI, are Superhero movies.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Glass_(2019_film)

How is this a Superhero movie?

Split was a sick movie about a guy who abducts young girls, sexually abuses them, molests them, rapes them and then eats them.

So Hollywood is glamorizing serial killers and serial rapists and pedophiles the same way they glamorized prostitution in Pretty Woman?

Question

So filming has been completed but the movie won't be released until sometime in the Summer of 2020.

It takes a year and a half to do the special effects, the CGI, the audio dubbing, the editing, the music soundtrack, the dialogue audio tracks in foreign languages?

Then the finish final cut and reproduced 1000s of copies of it for the movie theaters in the USA and across the world.

I hope they guard the original master negative prints.

What's stopping someone working at any of the companies that does the things I mentioned above to walk out with a copy of it?

Question

Why there hasn't been a sequel to 2009's District 9?

It's been almost 10 years!!

That's kind of odd. Normally it's now about a year from when a movie starts shooting, which averages about 3 months to when it hits theaters. The picture in the story was taken in front of FBI headquarters in DC this past spring/summer, not two days before Christmas in Virginia. I guess they are building in extra lead time for reshoots and slotting a film's release date into the calendar has grown into a full time job.

The other thing is that while it used to be that summer 'blockbuster season' started in towards the end of May, then it got pushed earlier to April, then March and now it's pretty much blockbuster season all goddamn year long,

You're almost 30 years late to be whining and complaining about Hollywood glamorizing serial killers. How can you have forgotten, Dr. Hannibal "A census taker once tried to test me. I ate his liver, with some fava beans and a nice chianti. Afafafafafafafafafaffafafafh! Lector?

Hannibal didn't abduct young girls and rapes them and sexually molest/abuse them.

He kept his victims all at adult age.

On Wonder Woman 1984, it's very likely the CGI holding things up. After the complaints about Superman's mustache, Doomsday & Steppenwolf they probably really want to make sure Cheetah looks good.

Unbreakable was meant to be a hard core realistic style superhero film with Bruce Willis's skin being unnaturally durable without going silly with it & he has a spider sense like ability to forsee people who mean others harm.
Samuel L Jackson's character Mr Glass was basically a low key Lex Luther.
Split was a horror film that the twist was that it was the the same universe as Unbreakable & he is basically a phisical supervillain while Mr Glass is the brains.
And Split never glorified or presented what he did as being a positive.
