Looks fine to me today... yesterday it was speed limited to 5 kb/s even if I didn't activate adblock, but today it the same speed as usual. I guess they fixed the problem with Firefox, not that it was the end of the world since I have Edge and Chrome too install on my computer.

Did you try Opera, without addons? It should work.

Honestly I can't replicate any issues that members have so unfortunately I can't help with these issues.
Inspection of the page source itself shows a lot of javascript being used. If you have this disabled on your system or not installed at all, this may be the source of the problems. Other than that, I'm out of ideas. If you have an account with them, contact support at the site with very specific details of the problems you are encountering. "The site doesn't work" or "I can't download" sent by itself with no specifics will not get a response.

Jenny I tried Opera too nothing. Once you click on the fichier link it takes you to the download page. You then have to agree to their terms and accepting cookies you hit that, try to hit the download link nothing happens. I never ever had problems before with Fichier. Thank you for trying to help.

Additional info. The initial large "Download" button reveals that it is a javascript element upon element inspection of the button itself.
The second "Click here to download" button is not a javascript element.

Yes, you have to jump through hoops.
Click the download at least twice. Even with opera, you get lots of crap screens etc. But you get there in the end. This going to be a bottomless pit of combinations of: Browser/ad blockers/cookie-tracker blockers/javascript blockers et al. If 1fichier doesn't like just one of them, it won't let you in. I've tried small & large files and all worked from Australia
with google chrome - ad/script blockers on or off If the download this file button doesnt appear that always says to me too many are downloading already from that server Temptation of Serenity 867mb - no issues apart from some silly pop-under hiding down in the right hand bottom corner - making it impossible to close - hence why link expired - worked 2nd time around straight away For mine this smells very much like the old megaupload set-up which anecdotally thought available bandwidth was slanted towards the areas that had the highest ad-revenue & premium memberships. Bottom line - if a server is overloaded all free users will get jettisioned regardless of whether they are using a Browser like Opera with its free in built VPN that replaces the users IP address with its own. |
