Imagetwist? More like No image, it's a twist!

Guys, Am I really the only member here being constantly frustrated by all these Imagetwist posts blowing out pretty much all the time?

I'm on the verge of giving up a passion I've had for over 20yrs because of this constant annoyance; seeing some great thumbnails but then getting the dreaded blow out with this more recently used host...!!

It seems that a lot of the posters I enjoyed the most now use this host, & I cannot be the only member being disappointed in this way here, and at many of the other forums where this picture host is running riot in nearly every damn thread....???

Your thoughts....

I can speak only based on my limited experience as a viewer and not as a contributor. When I have clicked a thumbnail to view an enlarged photo, Imagetwist has been equally or even more reliable to produce an image than all other hosts. My only complaint would be that it seems to lack a "Next/Back" function.

Again, this is just my opinion based on what I see. I've noticed other detractor's comments but don't understand the basis of their dissatisfaction. I'm readily prepared to confess my ignorance in this; I assume that there is more to this that those more experienced and knowledgeable in such matters are discussing.

I'm with you, Pharaoh. It is awful with redirects, popunders and annoyance.

It's worse than redirects & the such though... All I get with that host is this....

I get this error constantly here, and at several other forums where the same poster/s also resides; as most of us do. Why have so many people began to use this host? What's wrong with the other reliable ones like imagebam, imagevenue, etc...?

For some reason I can only see the pictures if I use Firefox.

I also tried using FF, as well as Safari, but still having this issue. Oddly on occasion; say one visit out of ten; they all seem to work, then no joy again. The post I used to illustrate my frustration was in the 'Nathalie Kelly' thread; pix I've still not been able to view here; but fortunately someone else posted these to another forum using a more friendly pic host.

Sounds like someone is cutting & pasting from the original site except the pics appear to be accessible via chrome with script safe blocking everything
which hints at some other issue - exosrv is the same script on imagebam that spits out all manner of crappy redirects & pop-unders - i'd wager you block that and you'll fair better next time

Computer error messages were never designed with common sense in mind

so if i use my abp to block 'exosrv' then that should sort it? i'll try that. TYIA.

EDIT - nope, didn't work either...

Only a script blocker will stop most and give you control

Ad-blockers got bypassed the day pop-unders were created

The other possibility is a browser plugin is being exploited

When i used firefox i disabled all of them

No guarantees these are the conflict causing the issue
