Pics vs. Vids

If you could only have one form, which would you prefer and why?

Caught myself in thought on this and figured it would be interesting to get other opinions.

sometimes pics (80's and 70's in particular) are more exciting than videos..

Nobody wants to explain why they voted the way they did? I go back and forth on this...sometimes I like pics, sometimes vids. Back in the day (pre internet), I used to always want to see vids, but usually had to make due with that stack o' favorite mags. Now with vids being immediately available, I often want the stills, and for many reasons. Lets hear yours.

I never collected videos. I collected only picture sets in the past. Nowadays, I collect only magazine scans from this forums.

Aside from the facts, that video files need more space on storage mediums, and most of the time have a poorer media quality than picture sets:

When I view a picture set or a magazine story, I often visualize some stimulating scenes, that could have happened. For example sex positions I would choose when having sex with the model(s) in a picture story. Because of this mental 'space fillers' even more often viewed porn sets stay interesting for me - because my mind has the option to always create new 'space fillers' between pics. The pics are only the bridge over a canyon vegetated with my sexual fantasies.

But when I watch a video, all is fixed. It's a linear path from the beginning of the movie to its end. There's no need for me to use my own imagination any more. I always tried to find a way between pure mental cinema and predefined wanking material.

I never wanted to just stare on porn vacuously.

I, too, use vids better. More to see! Plus i cant run the mouse good enough with my left, lol.

...but that's only for vintage stuff. On the whole, I prefer modern vids and classic pics.

For the most part. Except when I'm in the mood for something different. Which is most times, come to think of it....

Hmm. I guess I like it all!

Vids every time. I had years of collecting pictures and I'm largely done with that (although I post them from time to time when they come my way).

There are certain vids that do it for me. But much of the time, I end up disappointed that the actual performance doesn't live up to the thumbnailed preview for various reasons. I find that I can get lost in those special pics, though....they never let me down!
