I'm pleased to announce the promotion of our friend brudor to the rank of Veteran. His hard work and dedication have really paid off. Well, maybe not but at least he gets some well-deserved recognition.

So you're saying a PMT can't be begun with a provisional id? What about a model thread, can that be begun from/with a provisional id?

Correct.

In MIR once we've established the ID and have enough material for a thread that conforms to the section rules the model thread will live, we can go about making a PMT.

How you create threads, and title them in other sections is up to you and that section's rules, but the whole point of us as a section is to confirm IDs.
