Yep Can't find a Youtube link for her singing "Heaven Only Knows" It was featured at the end of a Sopranos episode, There was also a record she did with Linda Ronstadt "Western Wall, Tuscon Sessions", those 2 voices together

Very interesting thread.
The three female voices that have stood out over time: (in no particular order) Cesaria Evora, Nico, Carole King. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E_7BV...eature=related http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-Vv1PfRGC8k http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aJn3QJYYBr0 |

My favorite Nina Simone track - Love me or leave me. A beautiful voice and and an unforgettable tune.

Enya, of course, gives me eargasms. And...right now my oldest son, he's 8, cannot get enough of Loreena McKennitt. I play her music for him during bed time-I can only imagine where it takes him as he drifts to sleep. Good thread

That's the Hardest Part .

Was considering posting this, which i only recently discovered. Debbie Harry was a ball of energy live, not at all like the demure, cool chic in the "In the Flesh" video. Clem Bourke (the drummer) was justifiably centre stage and foremost in the mix. However it confuses me to say I am a Blondie fan |

A perfect example of what I said earlier about some songs and voices that can put a shiver down my spine. Lorraine Ellison Stay With Me Baby:-

I just heard this in the car and thought it would work for this thread.
Dido singing Thank You http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1TO48Cnl66w&ob=av2e How about Sade? She has a sexy voice in my opinion. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5ESqcg6jPCA Or how about Roberta Flack? This one has always been one of my favorites since childhood. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=psojI...eature=related

[QUOTE=Xexemedes;
Enya, of course, gives me eargasms. [/QUOTE] "Eargasms" : I didn't know the expression but it's quite poetic. Ricky Lee Jones is thus quite an eargasms giver. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yetsIayMLvs http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lg1Ib...eature=related Last edited by kelio; September 25th, 2010 at 08:27 AM.. |
