Smile CC Set ID Lists beta01 - Update No. 3

CC Set ID Lists beta01 - Update No. 3

Here's the third page: 'CC_ID_Set_List_03_cc101-cc150.htm', covering the sets cc101 - cc150.

The list now contains three pages:
CC_ID_Set_List_01_u1296-cc50.htm
CC_ID_Set_List_02_cc51-cc100.htm
CC_ID_Set_List_03_cc101-cc150.htm - new!

Link to the latest versions:

Page 2:
http://rapidshare.com/files/16578594...100_Beta01.rar

Page 3 (new!):
http://rapidshare.com/files/17230311...150_beta01.rar

The fourth page is under construction (CC_ID_Set_List_04_cc500-cc515.htm).

After all four pages have been provided with decent thumbnails the ID process will be the next step.
Also updating each page with external links for model ID pages on the net. I think it will be quite handy to be able to click the model names and be able to get more info if that is needed.

Thanks so much to everyone who has helped out so far with my missing picture material. I couldn't have done it without you guys:

A 'nerd' is something charming in Denmark.

It is not a negative word to us as such. Depends on how and when you use it.
Usually used to give credits for someones insight/knowledge.

Exclamation .MS Magazine Story discussion

There are some .MS contributions by Al Gebra, yuryur and icu which I have not forgotten about and I can add the SY mags to the list. However, before I make these changes, there are a few things to discuss:

1. If a mag contains only one story with no title, is it worth including? (There are hundreds of early mags like this.)

2. A few stories are continuations of stories in earlier mags, with mostly different pics but from the same shoot. We need to distinguish these from straight reprints where nothing is new. (This is mainly a personal reminder in case I forget.)

3. Some CC mags have monochrome Cavalcade or Album stories in two parts, before and after the colour pages. Uniquely, I think the first mono story should be numbered 0, then the first colour story numbered 1, etc. Some mags were reissued with extra mono pages, but with my proposal the same colour story would have the same number for both the original and reissue. (The mono text stories do not count.)

4. We need a way to identify stories when two or more are shown on the same cover. One way to do this is to add .1, .2, etc., to 1, 2 or 3 in the Cover field for front, back or inside title page, respectively. For example, 2.1 means "first" pic on back cover and 2.2 means "second" pic on back cover. How to define "first" and "second"? I suggest main pic, then top before bottom, then left before right. If there is one large pic and several smaller ones, the large pic should be .1 and the others numbered from top to bottom and left to right as .2, .3, etc. Top and bottom pics are .1 and .2, respectively. Similarly for left and right pics.

5. Some mags have more than one cover with different stories. One way to record this is to add .1, .2, etc., to the Cover field value. For example, 2.1 means the story is on the back of the first version and 2.2 means the story is on the back of the second version. Unfortunately, this would conflict completely with point 4 above, so a choice needs to made about which one to use.

6. The .MS list might not be the best place for cover story info. It could be put in the .M Magazine list (yet to be posted) instead. Along with publication date and number of pages, there could be .M fields for front cover, back cover and inside title page. The .MS method lists the cover for each story (if any), whereas the .M method lists the story for each cover. Again, only one of these two options could be used.

7. Early BC mags show a story from the next issue on the back cover. This info could be included by prefixing the mag story number with the Mag ID. For example, the back cover of BC30 shows the BC31.3 story. The .MS Cover field for the BC31.3 story could be BC30.2, meaning BC30 back cover, or the .M Back Cover field for BC30 mag could be BC31.3, meaning BC31 mag story three. (Usually Mag ID is not specified because the story and cover are in the same mag.)
