Prior to the late 1960's, porn was pretty much illegal in the United States, so it was VERY underground. Like a prior poster said, a lot of the models in the old B&W loops were not professionals but prostitutes or woman out to make a buck for a fix. You were not always getting a Bettie Page or Marilyn Monroe and the photographers were not the most ethical. Perhaps Betty Sue needed some money for her Fonzie looking boyfriend's dope habit, and her knew a guy who knew a guy who could make her famous if she took her clothes off.
And yes, old photography was not as processed as it is today. The c section scars you see a LOT in amateur productions still. |
