The Mysterious Mary Millington Film…
Incidentally the 1980 documentary Mary Millington’s True Blue Confessions represents her early hardcore career by a tame film clip of her using a map to search for a package at a canal lock, whats interesting is that the film this is taken from is one of the early films of hers that has so far not resurfaced. True Blue Confessions carries the credit “original Millington footage… Taboo Films” so the clip is obviously from a blue film she did for John Lindsay, be interesting to see the whole film one day, should it still exist.

An advert for a series of “Climax Sexorgy” films, naturally there is nothing remotely Scandinavian about the films on sale, which were all by Harrison Marks. Two of the pictures in the ad (the ones on the top right, and bottom left of the circle) are from a currently lost Mary Millington 8mm film Marks directed called “Love Games”. In particular compare the bottom left picture to the Loves Games Ad
and you can see there clearly from the same film, with a brunette girl, two males (one bearded) and Mary wearing a beaded necklace and bracelet in both pictures. Now if only we could go back in time and use the Ad to buy the film, anyone here got a Tardis? LOL |

A small bit of trivia (mentioned a while back on a now defunct website), in the early 2000s there were plans to make a film of Marys life, Amanda Holden had been penciled in to play Mary, while John Thompson would have played David Sullivan. Sadly the film never got made, so we’ll never known how that casting would have worked out.

Here is a (granted, far from complete) list of the magazines Mary appeared in. It falls apart a bit when it comes to the Sullivan ones which were never dated, as listing the Sullivan titles chronologically is pretty impossible then, I’ve listed some of them in bulk though obviously the likes of Playbirds, Whitehouse, National News, would have been published simultaneously. Suffice to say she probably appears in one form or the other in every Sullivan publication from her launch in the magazines in June 1975 till her death in August 1979, then of course there were various “tribute” magazines that Sullivan was still turning out till the mid-eighties.
