Kids like sugar because they are young and their metabolisms are faster than adult metabolisms are. Sugar feeds the energy demand on a short term basis very efficiently.

I used to really like candy and pop when I was a kid; now, not so much, and I bet most people here will say the same.

Why do you want to take away the kids' candy? Were you deprived of sweets as a youngster?

I suspect if we did things your way in regard to nutrition we'd end up with a batch of pale anemic children full of lethargy and without the gumption to do much for themselves - a communist dream, I suppose.

So can citizens of most American States. I'm not sure what you imagine the linkage is between having referendums and communism.

Most market democracies have some direct democracy-- I generally think its a very bad idea, see the Brexit referendum for why.

Whatever the case, its unrelated to communism.

The two best known referenda in the US, probably were both in California:

Prop 13 -- cap property taxes
Prop 8 -- ban gay marriage

How is either of those a "transition to communism"?
