We (Swiss citizens) can edict our own laws through popular initiatives or referendum. Can you in Australia? When USA will impose to the world REAL Communism, I suspect that Swiss people will follow US leadership. |

They came to work in Switzerland because of the Yugoslavian war. Today people abuse of oil and plastic. They will let a planet disgusting when they will die. Today people want a secondary and a third house to went on holiday, instead to stay to the hostel, etc.. etc... etc... Capitalism means more more more more more When I was a child, I walked in meadows, there were plenty of insects, now there are small buildings instead of meadows. Humanity spreads itself like a cancer instead to be happy with very few. What is fair in this ? I remember with my old aunt who explained to me how was her youth. (1910) She wasn't unhappy. Kids like sugar because they are young and their metabolisms are faster than adult metabolisms are. Sugar feeds the energy demand on a short term basis very efficiently. I used to really like candy and pop when I was a kid; now, not so much, and I bet most people here will say the same. Why do you want to take away the kids' candy? Were you deprived of sweets as a youngster? I suspect if we did things your way in regard to nutrition we'd end up with a batch of pale anemic children full of lethargy and without the gumption to do much for themselves - a communist dream, I suppose. You sound like a nun who enjoys smacking the children's fingers with a ruler and screaming warnings at them about sin and fornication because she is not getting any dick.

Why don't you go into Lombard Odier or Union Banque Suisse and explain to the bankers that Switzerland is "in transition to communism"
This will be new information to them, I imagine. Quote:
Most market democracies have some direct democracy-- I generally think its a very bad idea, see the Brexit referendum for why. Whatever the case, its unrelated to communism. The two best known referenda in the US, probably were both in California: Prop 13 -- cap property taxes Prop 8 -- ban gay marriage How is either of those a "transition to communism"? |

But when he takes over, only the "right minded" people will be allowed to vote. "Stupid" people, like the ones who eat candy and drink Coca-Cola and drive cars that use gas will be told to shut up, you know, because it's for their own good.

Why, ain't he correct? The Swiss weren't even a country but a collection of independent communes. Basically each city defended itself. Many authors had pointed to it as a true example of "popular power."
The original Alpine paradise had fell, however, and I would like to ask Xyz on the causes. Xyz, what do you think of Ochs and La Harpe? |
