I couldn't agree more. And wasn't he the captain?
Henry has form here. At the last World Cup finals he went into the tournament whining about all the diving, then proceeded to spend most of the time falling over himself. At least there was some justice in the final when he got a shirt-front, which put him on the deck in a big way.

The MEN Arena website and booking lines are shit. Come on folks, great venue, making lotsa dosh, but why not get some people in into pick up the sodding phones and "now please hang up" for special access seating is a wank piece of customer advice, especially when it has been on for over 4hrs.

Oh well it wasn't the best result this morning but at least we looked like a side for a change (Liverpool 2 Man City 2).

Incidentally if you want to comment on something that is affecting you personally, like the recent floods or the terrible bushfires then please feel free to tell us your worries or theories-it would be churlish not for this thread to offer support from members who need a friendly word or virtual arm around the shoulder, this especially applies to anyone overseas who might feel like an outside, unable to contribute because it doesn't mean anything to you-I welcome all contributions from all countries so please use this as a sounding post and to hell with any rules of not chatting-it was stupid of me to impose that anyway-talk away but keep it friendly.

Yes, Henry cheated - but to my knowledge he's never lost it and attacked on a football fan....regardless of the provocation.

This issue has DEFINITELY lost its perspective when Kung-Fu Cantona is giving his opinion...

On the subject of Christmas coming earlier every year,yesterday i saw a house fully emblazoned with lights and tacky decorations.Mind a lot of people seem to leave their exterior decorations up all year.

I've not seen any Christmas decorations up outside any houses at the moment but plenty in the shops now especially larger versions of WH Smith etc. The idea of putting them up outside your house and indeed all over it comes from America where they go mad-its catching on here but mostly people festoon their houses for charity which is a great idea. I do remember reading about one bloke who has Christmas all year round including Christmas dinners every day. His house is open to the public to have a look around and once again he does raise a hell of alot for charity-even though he has to be barking mad!

Well, Cantona did not cheat on the field of play. Neither did he wander around randomly kicking and hitting people. It is clear that he burned on a rather short fuse, and the Kung Fu Kick episode wasn't the one and only time the fuse went off, but I don't see why his opinion of Thierry Henry's conduct is worthless. Cantona, like Henry,represented France at the highest level in his time and has personal knowledge of what it is like to play top flight football. I think his opinion is worth hearing.

Cantona has comparable experience of rehabiliting his reputation after public disgrace. As a matter of fact, the Kung Fu episode marked a sea-change in Cantona's on field play. After he returned from his nine month FA ban he showed almost unrecognisable self discipline and professionalism in the remainder of his time at Manchester United. Cantona's faults were more to do with lack of self-control, he was often a dirty player but didn't cheat: there's the big difference between Cantona and Henry. Of the two, I know which I prefer.

Well done to Scotland for beating Australia 9-8. It's the first time they've won against Australia in 27 years! On the downside, Murrayfield was only about two-thirds full - perhaps it was the bad weather that prevented many potential supporters from attending?

Received my first Christmas card - it was from the Royal Mail. In it they have written that, in the week leading up to Christmas Day, they will be making evening deliveries. I've never known the RM to previously do this.
