Or do you think how Russia is portrayed in western media is a fair and accurate portrayal of Russia ?

I think it depends on the reporting agency's viewpoint to a large extent.
In general though more than likely the news is biased to be pro-Western. Unfortunately there are very few if any unbiased news sources, at least I haven't found any so far.  I am sure Palo will find this thread and set us all straight.  |

The coverage is rather radical from all sides instead of accurate. I've heard everything from they've taken over the white house to Putin is beloved by his people.
