Now that their softcore outlets of Nuts and Zoo have been discontinued, can we look forward to babes like Lucy Pinder, Stacey Poole and Rosie Jones being forced into doing harder full frontal stuff?

Former Lads mag favourite Alice Goodwin does late night chat on Babestation tv channels but I really don't think that glamour girls would take up or be forced to do porn-in fact I hope they don't but I have reached the stage in my life where I don't worry about that.

Certainly not Pinder. If you go to her website now, she is trying to eradicate all traces of the career that got her noticed - as she's a "serious" actress - so all the topless stuff is gone. This is known as "doing a Lusardi".

The only time they do something harder is if their trying to launch an acting career
so they try and raise their profile

If they do go down that route then who knows reality tv shows might bypass
or pick them up

For most i'd guess they'll go the usual route of only tease , simonscans (if your lucky)
or offline modelling jobs with an agency

Glamour models would do a lot more than appear in lads mags
unless their exclusively contracted or running a real interactive website

Most models careers are over within 2 years and at as guess whether they do harder comes down to what they have planned after modelling...harder probably pays more but
the baggage it can bring isnt worth the grief

Whats more if their working past their usual safe limits it rarely looks convincing

Agreed- I haven't seen any evidence of, for example any of the Page 3 brigade, rushing to get their knickers off for 'top-shelf' work since the lads mags fell by the wayside. I guess they're still pulling in enough work from their Page 3 appearances plus other online work, or modelling for lingerie manufacturers etc.

If I remember rightly, I read somewhere that a certain tabloid newspaper makes their ladies sign a contract that states if they do anything other than page 3 or lads mags, they will lose their contract with said tabloid. I could be mistaken, but it is the sort of thing I could imagine happening.

Not that I was ever able to prove it - and I did ask an ex-P3'er who didn't reply - that such a thing applied from the 70s-90s at least with the super soaraway. They didn't seem to care if the shoots appeared in European or some American magazines (especially under pseudonyms) as it was thought they would not be seen over here in the UK. But it was two-faced.

Kirsten Imrie's career was trashed when the UK edition of Penthouse used an old set of her in Christmas gear, and she was prevailed on to make an act of "self criticism" in the paper about wholesome p3. Similarly, Linda Lusardi got all weepy about being fooled into spreading them in Ma*f*i* by a dastardly photographer - yet as we know, she dropped her knickers with abandon in magazines, under her own name in some cases - but that didn't dent her career.

My first fave p3 girl - Gillian Duxbury - was nearly P*n*h*u*e Pet of the Year (and presumably got to know Guccione very, very well...) but under an pseudonym. So her career in the papers was undented.

I bought a mag in Germany ("Cover") which had Gail McKenna in all her glory as "Gail" in the early 90s; didn't seem to hurt her career.

I'm sure - but don't have the time to trawl - that in the past some active porn stars have even turned up on the inside page of tabloids in "butter wouldn't melt" poses too.
