Rating what I have seen!
Horror of Dracula = Good Dracula - Prince of Darkness = Good Dracula has Risen from the Grave = Very Good (my 2nd favorite Dracula film after DUntold) The Mummy (59) = Great (best mummy film ever) The Curse of the Mummy's Tomb = Decent to Good The Abominable Snowman = Very Good to Great The Curse of Frankenstein = Decent to Good (been a long time since I watched it) Plague of the Zombies = Good The Curse of the Werewolf = Weak to Ok / Meh The Quatermass Xperiment = Decent to Good Quatermass 2 = Very Good to Near Great Quatermass & The Pit = Good to Very Good X - The Unknown = Good to Very Good The Gorgon = Decent to Good One Million Years BC = Good When Dinosaurs Rules the Earth = Decent to Good-ish (has notably more glaringly dumb elements than One Million such as the creation of the moon being a plot point but the stop motion animation & sex appeal are just as strong) Cash on Demand = Good (big fan of Andre Morell as the villain here, he was great in The Giant Behemoth) ... Wish they had done a Creature from the Black Lagoon style Gillman movie. Island of the Fishmen / Screamers (1979) is basically that in spirit, has their style and period piece setting. |

Been a huge fan for Hammer Horror since the late 60's. I was about four years old when I first saw The Brides of Dracula on TV. Not the best Hammer film but is scared the piss out of the four year old me. I thought for sure the two below were outside my bedroom window that night.
Quatermass and the Pit was another on of my favorits. Last edited by GasManOverload; March 13th, 2023 at 04:13 PM.. |
