But you're missing the point... He only got tax relief via the IOM due to his company claiming it would be used purely & only for business purposes... The fact it's very obviously not the case, and he's using it for pleasure & holidays too, is what's breaking the law in terms of his tax affairs.

Sorry, he`s a really nice guy and all that, but I`m really not getting all the gushing about Massa. You`d think he was multi world champion with 40+ race wins under his belt the way they`re going on.
Truth is, he`s good, but not that good. I will say though, that on one of his worse days, he`s better than Stroll is on one of his best. |

As far as what happened at the track, with him getting a good send off by his home fans, absolutely nothing.
However, watching the pundits on Sky F1 go on about a driver who has not really acheived anything except being there for a long time, I found it quite sickening. I`ve nothing against him, he seems a nice chap, always talks to the camera`s etc, but can anyone honestly recall a great memorable race from him? No. He`s remembered for being Champion for a few seconds, Fernando is faster than you and getting hit by a spring. Personally, I don`t think he ever fully recovered from the spring incident, I always think he realises how nasty that could have been and always remained on the side of caution since then, hence his lack of true attacking racing. He deserves a send off, but the stuff that the Sky guys were saying, just felt hollow to me and elevated Massa to a level he really never was at as a racer. I assume Jordan and Coulthard were just the same on Channel 4`s coverage. |

Not F1
Watching the coverage of the WRC round down here. An even that can go unnoticed, even by motorsport fans.
What is the media/mainstream presence of WRC over in Europe? |

Because the media prefers to waste their time on a snooze fest of glorified primadonnas...

F1 is a "mainstream motorsport". Even if motorsport isn't mainstream. What presence does WRC and the drivers have amongst the wider European public?

As for the WEC, well that's a Eurosport jobby I think, which Sky users have access to, but not regular cheapo 'freeview' users like myself. I find myself dipping into YT vids of the events as and when the mood takes me. We do get great coverage of our own BTCC series though, half a day dedicated to it by ITV4 every race day; showing the support races too; including the Carrera GT's, Gilletta, Gilletta Jnr's, & Clio cup. AS for Aussie Touring Cars; well again YT is your friend to the best of my knowledge.
