There are many rules differences, but the ones I especially like are, shorter play clock which keeps tempo of game higher, unlimited backfield motion and wider field, both of which can make the game more wide-open, and no fair catches or free (i.e. no points conceded) touch-backs.

BTW cc, despite my alliegiance to the Ti-Cats, I'll be rooting for the Boatmen today. Ottawa won the Cup last year, let's keep it in the East.

Here's where we stand going into MNF. Brian and I are tied at 12-3 and we both picked Baltimore; so it's down to points.

Congratulations to the Toronto Argonauts on winning the 105th Grey Cup championship. The Argos tied the game on a 2-point conversion after a 109-yard fumble recovery returned for a TD and then kicked the winning field goal with less than 50 seconds left in the game.

Finished watching it five minutes ago. Great fun and I was rooting for the Argonauts as underdogs. In all honesty they were easily the second best but took the few chances they had.

Which can only be attributed to dumb luck or some perverse inclination of the football gods. Many games could easily have gone in the other direction and on one occasion I mis-marked my choice only to see Tampa Bay win in an absolutely ridiculous manner.
