jdownloader 2

I can't update. Keeps on saying no internet connection. Anyone else having this problem ? If I need to re install can someone point me in the direction of where to download this ? Thanks

I have used Jdownloader 2 for some time now and it's generally quite awesome. But there's one thing that I have not yet been able to resolve: is it possible, and if it is, where to change the downloaded file (or image) naming convention? I have not found any setting where you could change the file naming rules of the saved files.

tbh, as long as Auto Rename is selected in the main Settings page, it won't overwrite any existing files with new downloads - mine just appends _2 to the filename, which is handy for those hosts where the thumb and main pic have the same name.
Just sort by filesize or dimensions to get rid of the thumbs in that case.

I'm sure somewhere in advanced settings you can set up regex tables to rename on the fly, but I don't understand that, so just use my file manager or image handler to do it.

Sorry to hijack the thread, but I was wondering if it works with WinXP sp3 and old firefox based browsers?

Any help would be much appreciated.

tbh though, is an XP machine still safe to be loose on the internet these days?

I have to say that I wouldn't use XP and especially not old browsers anymore. They're full of security holes.

I just downloaded and installed it today. Imgding usually does the trick for me, but it doesn't work with imgfap. Jdownloader does, tho. It's pretty easy to use, just had to dick around for a bit. I didn't make any adjustments except for the default folder. I think I'll use it.
