max hardcore thread delete or not?

+10 years ago I bought a VHS cassette with scenes from different movies. Sadly enough there was a Max HardC scene on it. I thought it was the worst crap I ever watched.
Seeing the reviews in this thread, I have understood that very little has changed for the better during this time. The only good news was that the culprit is facing jailtime or is in custody already.

But should the thread at VEF be deleted? No, I don't think so.

I have no idea what you are watching but it is not 75 % of the productions coming out of the black production companies, any of the GGG productions, Non of the White Trash Productions, Non of the Bondage, nor S&M etc etc In fact even the Soft Houses have put out a few more harsh then Max.

As for the Dream that this topic was not Calling for the removal of the Max thread, get real He admitted it in his last two post in words, and conduct. PS the title or the topic, and first post of unrelated dripe kind of points it out.

harterdonner, despite my dislike for Max - I'm still on your side - I agree with what you say.

but you have to see that we are only speaking here about a case against a pornographer. And you right, there is plenty of other stuff on this board that could be termed 'extreme' & that why this discussion is healthy - the way things are heading... with the net vs governments etc.

finally, I've gone over this thread again before writing this reply - I can not see how you think this thread was a call to have Max deleted - ??? - I really don't see that.

Well, I held the whole thread in front of a mirror and saw what I aspected, The handsome fellow and a lot of text. Then I read that text backwards and found no words of Satan. Lastly I read in between the lines, and found no hidden agenda. It is just what it says -- a legitamate and intresting question about a pornographer named Max Hardcore.

Individual files should be banned if the don't agree with the policies of the forum. The whole thread should be banned if it threatens the existens of said forum.
But other than that, no.

Is this fellow Max in jail? If he is I bet he's getting more rough treatment than even he ever dreamt of in his most fevered imaginings - should give him a few new ideas for his next screenplay!

Whilst I personally find Max Hardcore highly objectionable I would never delete the thread dedicated to him and his activities.

I'm not a fan of Max's, degradation - real or fake - is not my thing at all. But I'm also a great believer in freedom of expression so I'm not usually for banning of anything. But that's only the hippy in me.

However I do find it worrisome, to say the least that one of his actresses pretended to be twelve years old in his film Max Extreme 4, for which he was charged with child porn offences, which where dropped as it was ruled that the state law he was to be tried under was unconstitutional. This was untrue as she was legal but it is worrisome that actresses pretending to be very young children appear in porn. Not nice, nor healthy in my opinion.

the thought that he was convicted was for obscenity is misleading, people fighting against the powers that be have been prosecuted for obscenity for trying to change things, see the 'Oz' trial or 'Lady Chatterley's Lover' trails in the UK for examples of this. He was not convicted for such freedom loving 'crimes'. He was convicted under the Child Exploitation and Obscenity laws for not having the records for five films that proved that the actresses who reported to be underage in these five films were legally allowed to appear in such porn,

as of now Max, or 'Paul' as he is called, is not in prison as he has appealed his conviction.

we all know that there is a vast difference between fiction and reality. For all I know Paul might be charming, I'm sure he collects stamps, goes antiquing, as is in a loving relationship with his long-term partner, Gerald. As I said I dislike extreme and degrading porn, but when actresses pretend to be children that is beyond the pale utterly.

it is not superfluous at all; it is a question that seeks the opinion of others as to their view. It is part of a open conversation where people are asked their views as part of an adult exploration of the topic. No one has called for the bombing of Korea, if we were talking about doing so the point would still be valid; to elicit members views on the acceptability or not of such an action, or the circumstances where such an extreme action was valid/justifiable, or not depending on the person's views. Free speech extends to being able to ask any question you want (within reason), as well as being able to post erotica (within reason).

is rather an exaggeration. people have views on this topic, there are no flaws in the logic of any posts except the flaw in logic that is for freedom of expression when dealing with posting porn but against freedom of expression when asking a question; you are either for the freedom to post or you are not. and no one has demanded Max's removal.
