Miss Fernande (born about 1892) Paris, France
  Miss Fernande was a model for Jean Agelou in the 1910's and apparently into the 1920's. She lived downtown Paris in a hotel, just two doors away from the Jean Agelou's studio. Jean Agelou was a well known photographer of portraits, landscapes and nude postcards. During her modeling days , Miss Fernande modeled for Jean Agelou almost exclusivity ... She did appear on other cards published under other names, but most were J.A. pictures. Fernande appeared in few issues of art magazine for students named L'Etude Academique.

Alicia Bertoni
According to one of my old movie books, 'The Guiness Book of Movie Facts and Feats, there was a French actress named Alicia Bertoni, who supposedly became the first actress to bare her breasts directly to camera. The movie was called 'Les Annees Folles' and it was made in 1932. Has anyone heard of this? Or the actress? Or better still, a clip?
I've never found anything about the actress or the movie. However, there is a movie listed with the same name on the Internet Movie Database, but its from 1962, so I don't think its the one. I've attached a picture of her here (sorry about the quality. It's been scanned in from the book directly.  |
