I get the distinct impression, being outside the garden state, that kind of plain talking is sadly lacking in the AFL versus Essendon saga. A bit late for it now that the lawyers are involved. |

The trouble with the supplements scandal is very few people actually know the exact truth
Seems bizarre 16 months on Stephen Dank still hasnt given evidence I'd suspect because the supplements involved arent performance enhancing but quicken recovery many clubs will never come out individually given they all use pain killing injections to keep injured players on the field.... Hypocrisy at its worst if this entire saga is about ensuring players long term health. From what i've read its the presidents meeting where they've all castigated Essendon but that might come back to bite them given that multiple other Victorian clubs are now being investigated by the Work Cover for their supplements programs which the AFL had rubber stamped as being OK. This issue has the potential to get a lot worse than just Essendon. http://www.heraldsun.com.au/news/vic...555b25e7ec424e |

Estreeter is a Collingwood supporter? Disappointing. GO BLUES!!!
I spent today in Meadow Heights and Glenroy. If Melbourne is the most liveable city, God help the rest of you poor knobs, who live elsewhere |

I was going to suggest Port Augusta (a.k.a. Port Augutta) as more livable.

Remember there's always next year... This has been the closest years in memory, where a bottom side can beat the top... Even though I'm a Port Adelaide Magpie/Power fan I feel pretty bad for your club. Some good players and Malthouse is so good for the game.. Give him time.... |

The Crows have failed so badly they only have 2 Trophies compared to the Powers 1 If we're really honest the Power when they were finishing 1st/2nd around the early 00s under mark Williams choked so many times in finals series it was embarassing. Lets not forget the biggest choke of them all - worst performance in a grand final 2007 2007 Grand Final, Geelong v Port Adelaide - 4 Minutes To Go - 163 v 44 points https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7UcFr9o6-Rc Still staggers to think that a team that had beaten Geelong away from home towards the end of the minor round could be belted by 100+ points on grand final day. They havent been the same Club until ken Hinkley and staff came to town last season 2004 Power v Brisbane 24 mins - their one GF win over the great Brisbane team Lethal Leigh Matthews is still fuming over the scheduling even till this day https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MQn7GvVwSKY For the record Started following the Port Adelaide Magpies in the 70s to spite my parents who followed Glenelg Followed Hawthorn through the 70s/80s Followed the Crows from the 90s and later the Power As for Carlton - Malthouse thought they were primed to win a premiership soon I think that means he has officially been declared senile They need to draft about half a team and get rid of the false hope offered by the likes of Jarrad Waite and Chris Yarran.Talented but far too inconsistent. The best example of where talent even if supreme isnt really worth holding onto if your trying to win grand finals Gary Ablett senior - 1981-1983 at Hawthorn Hawthorn from 83-89 appeared in 7 grand finals - character over talent Abletts stellar career looks great until - 4 grand finals at Geelong and lost them all. |
