Attention: There is a prevalent email scam happening everywhere where the sender claims to have a password to a site and demands money in some form. Ignore it, do not respond and at most change passwords on any sites you frequent.

Effective immediately, moving or animated GIFs are not allowed in signatures. If your signature has one, please remove or replace it asap. Staff will remove them as and when we see them without notice.

Sincerest apologies to everyone for the recent blackout. VEF and several of our sister forums had a major server malfunction. The database index is being rebuilt from scratch and may take at least several days to be fully restored. Expect major weirdness and lots of glitches in the meantime. Thank you all for your patience and understanding.

Unfortunately it seems that all of the posts made from the 13th March until the crash are permanently lost, please feel free to re-post any such material, apologies for this.

There's a few gremlins on the site now so I don't know exactly what's actually visible to you when you do a similar search right now but hopefully it will be put right as soon as possible.

This is no glitch nor gremlin:

Posts that have been removed to the separate MOD-section never do show up in the stats that regular members have access to.

The only (vague) indicator are indeed posts that have been thanked by a Moderator who did the removal. They do show up then in the thanks-stats.

However, you can´t blame the MOD´s for these (useful) Forum-Settings. Because of their extended rights in VBulletin-Software, they sometimes just can´t figure out anymore what is visible (or not) for regular members.
