I notice that the planned tour of "The Voice" has been cancelled due to a lack of interest! http://www.bbc.co.uk/newsbeat/18496105 Surprise, surprise! There's a big difference between switching on the TV and actually getting off your backside and shelling out to see something! Maybe the BBC will realise that "The Voice" really isn't that interesting! |

My Vote:
Failing that, if we have a low-megaton device available I say we invoke the Ripley clause. Ripley: I say we take off and nuke the site from orbit. It's the only way to be sure. Hudson: Fuckin' A! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2s1MspmfEwg

I went to the supermarket this evening and saw a woman with a young child. The child was still in nappies and looked to be about one year old.
Anyway, she was feeding it from a can of Redbull. I couldn't believe it, that stuff contains huge quantities of sugar and caffeine. It increases heart rate and blood pressure and there's this woman pouring it down her baby's throat.

And by the way you are right it is not uncommon that mothers feed their young children with icetea or coca cola and wonder when the first teeth come out total broken |

Fine jewellery? For lovers of tat, more like it!
First the headline:
http://au.lifestyle.yahoo.com/marie-...iamond-collar/ Then the news, first with some pictures: Chanel’s creative director, Karl Lagerfeld, has designed a diamond collar worth $45K for inclusion in an upcoming jewellery exhibition celebrating the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee year. The elaborate item features 40 carat black diamonds, which frame a 23.33 carat emerald centrepiece set in black “rhodium-plated” silver. Lagerfeld is no stranger to excess – the design master owns 70 ipods, has designed a custom helicopter and his beloved kitten, Choupette, reportedly has two maids to itself. But while his lifestyle may seem excessive, proceeds from the sale of the black diamond collar will reportedly go towards the children’s cancer charity, CLIC Sargent. “I'm renowned for my love of a high collar and I wanted to create a true collector's item with this one-off piece,” said Lagerfeld. “Merging the masculine with the feminine and uniting the world of fine jewellery and high fashion, to me this collar is a work of art and a real show-stopper.” The curator of the exhibition, Carol Woolton, added that Masterpiece London, where the collar will be on display before it goes on sale, already houses some of the best antique diamonds in the world. “This was a way to add contemporary diamond design into the fair,” Woolton added. “Diamonds have something magical about them - it's hard to define, but you recognise it when you see it. When this magic and ephemeral sparkle is combined with a strong design then I believe something of great power is created." And now to vent my spleen... Although it's good that all the proceeds from the sale of said $45000 piece of bling will go to a cancer charity, the biggest cancerous substance that this guy is aiding is giving much more undue popularity to the royal family with more self-styled publicity for people who clearly don't need it. And what really annoys the fornicatory excrement out of me is that this family is a great exploiter of jewels, especially as most of the crown jewels are actually blood diamonds that came from Africa at a time when it was perfectly alright to exploit third world people. Yeah, like they really need anymore of this sort of bling to help establish themselves as supposed champions of a benevolent aristocracy. I think palo's people had the right idea when it came to handling the problems of their monarchy...and all it took was a blood splattered wall, some of which was of a haemophilic disposition...

Ref exfarmers story about mother and baby; I was in tesco a while back. Mum and baby plus mum's sister, sister shouts he's f#ckin' starving-mum-he had two kitkats for his tea. I felt like asking if they were the classic four finger variety or the chunky kind...
