Although the RMS Titanic appears/appeared to have four funnels. It did in fact have just three. Three were proper funnels to vent smoke and steam from the engines while the fourth (at the back) was a 'false' funnel added just to make the ship look symmetrical.

The 4th funnel was used for ventilation.

The White Swan Hotel is a hotel in the middle of the historic market town of Alnwick, Northumberland, England.

Its most distinctive feature is the Olympic Suite, a large room furnished with interior decorations from the RMS Olympic that are substantially identical to those aboard her sister ship, the RMS Titanic......................

The term 'sniper' comes from the fact that snipe (the game birds) are extremely shy and nervous, and don't 'present' themselves to be shot at quite so readily as, say, grouse or pheasant. In order to hunt snipe, the hunter has to be very still and concealed very well before the birds will show up.

And yet, the term "Snipe hunt" is applied to a foolish and pointless endevor meant to poke fun at an individual. But if you go on a true snipe hunt and bag some snipe, you're pretty good.

Did you know that the highest and most remote pub in Britain is the Tan Hill Inn. It is miles from nowhere and is isolated from local towns in the hills around the Dales of North Yorkshire. I visited it many, many years ago.

Mary I nickname the bloody is not really fair as she was the least bloody of the Tudor monarchs and had far less people executed on average a year than the other Tudor monarchs. Both her siblings ( Edward VI and Elizabeth I ) and her father ( Henry VIII ) are far better candidates for the nickname bloody than Mary I.

Mary I was really no more bloody than any other monarchs of that period. And she is not even close the being the bloodiest monarch of England\Britain.

There was a dance tune made up of Charley Says in the 90s. I always found it rather sinister for something that was aimed at children.

If you combined all the computing power of every computer that existed 50 years ago, it would still be less powerful than one modern smart phone.
