An expensive looking but pretty lazy directing purely by the numbers film starring that guy who annoyed us all when he played the cocky unlikeable human torch in the two drab fantastic four pictures.Well here he plays a cocky unlikeable bloke who can create force fields and use them for attacking or defensive purposes. In other words just like Invisible girl from those two drab fantastic four pictures

Yes originality in the movies is alive and well alright

I`ll stick with it because i`m a stubborn sod but have no faith in it improving.

Fact this snaps best sums up my review of this lame sci fi feeble , i mean fable .

Default The Way Of The Dragon

Shite acting, shite stunts, shite lip-synch; who cares ? Bruce Lee's star quality trumps all previous offers. Just finished watching The Way Of The Dragon, on on Movies 33 1/3, or whatever the feck it's called. Loved every second. Again. Bruce Lee - A genuine, genuine star.

It`s from the same people who brought us the fantastic Identity. Only in equal measures this is as bad as that one was good. With so many unnecessary baffling and jarring twists and turns i`m glad to be sitting down while i watch it otherwise i`d be so dizzy by now i`d have passed out.

Nearly over and i think the loose ends are meant to have been neatly tied together. Only there were so many loose ends they`ve become frayed and ignored.

During the last ten minutes as we sway towards the climax we`ve been treated to a lot of overly loud dramatic music , loads of cold stares from the dead/alive/never existed /possessed/ ordinary/ supernatural killer. Plus a dry dry dry constantly , constantly coughing child .

Jesus i`m so scared i can barely notice my own yawns

Oh man you`ll never believe the dopey dafter than daft ending

I don`t and i just saw it !

Shelter ? , more like Cliche

District 9

An excellent film, with the subtext of Apartheid running throughout (the aliens being shoved into a township with no rights, being blamed for crime etc). I also like the idea of the aliens becoming addicted to cat food! It's not your normal "aliens arrive and save humanity" sci-fi film. Top quality!

Guillermo Del Toro's Spanish speaking films are usually better than his Hollywood output. Good choice!

The Tillman Story

I found this to be a very well made, interesting, moving and completely disheartening documentary. For those who do not know the story, Pat Tillman was a young American football player who left the professional ranks of the NFL to enlist in the US Army soon after the 9/11 attacks. He initially was deployed in Iraq during the first stages of the invasion. After that tour he entered and graduated from US Army Ranger school and was subsequently deployed in Afghanistan for his second tour. It was during this tour that he was killed in action near the Pakistan border. It was initially believed that he had been killed by the Taliban while engaging in a firefight. The reality was that he was killed by friendly fire. This film is an indictment of the US military and how they misconstrued his death, covered up the factual details of his death, how they mistreated the Tillman family as well as the legacy of Pat himself. His death was used by my government as a propaganda tool and it is very hard to watch his grieving family deal with that reality. They clearly remember Pat as a person, their brother, son, husband and not what the governemnt and media had made him out to be. I strongly recommend this film but it is not much fun to watch.

Not too bad, as it goes...

Not as good as the Rocky series, currently on the Rodger Melly.
