Buck Adams on the other hand..... this guy, thankfully, made relatively few movies but boy do I find him a turn off. In any case, the question is not which male porn actor we dislike, but rather who *ruins* a film for us. So for me that rules out Max Hardcore or Ed Powers since I never watched their stuff, and rules out Rocco's sole efforts (his classic Italian and early 90s Stagliano stuff are not bad) since I hate his solo schtick. Ditto for most of the recent faux-gangsta black actors who pretend to be abusive towards white actresses, since I find this US obsession with race incomprehensible and never watch these movies; you want to have black guys with white girls, fine by me - just drop the "gangsta" silliness.

To ruin a film an actor must be impossible to avoid, so it means he can't rely on his own line of films. Neither can he be a Golden Age rarity like Aaron Stuart or the like. He must be a mainstay. Also, everybody who stays on for 20+ years inevitably gets annoying simply because of the creepiness factor of seeing someone like Grandpa West screwing someone who could easily be his daughter. But as above I can and do avoid all the Up & Comers stuff of his. Finally, I simply do not care about dick sizes or scrotum capacities because, amazingly, I watch porn for the girls (something which porn "directors" seem to forget all the time). Failure to get erections is another matter since this is a requirement of the job.

Anyway, no one can ruin a 70s film for me, American or European. Of the ones I saw mentioned Leslie I actually like a lot, and Gillis may be creepy but is also a very fine actor. Paul Thomas is just silly with his hammy acting, but is too much of a nonentity as a performer to actually ruin a film.

When it comes to the 80s though things change. Like most here, I simply must watch everything that Taija or Candie (or Ginger, or Stacy etc etc) ever shot; they're just too cute, plus I was an adolescent in the 80s and these girls formed an integral part of my development :-). Problem is, they always performed with the same 7-8 guys. I don't mind the Hedge in his 80s phase, though I'm certainly not a fan - (BTW this holds also for the European Ron Jeremy, aka Roberto Malone: bearable in his early days, disgusting afterwards). Chaps like Silvera or Horner I actually find OK (Silvera actually seems like a nice fellow all round). Ditto for Byron or North. Harmless. Banana Dick of Death I actually did not mind before the news came out, so as an ACTOR (as a human being he's still despicable) is not the worst ever. Which brings us to the one guy whose scenes are an immediate "skip":

Jerry Butler. Yuck.

Awful actor, sweaty, erection problems, FULL OF HIMSELF, emotionally unstable, numerous scenes where he is clearly coked or sped up to his eyebrows and goes on and on and ON with his incessant amphetamine banter at about 300 words per minute...

So skip him I do. But this means I must also skip Taija (or Candie, or Ginger or Stacy etc etc) since he always got to bang them in his movies. Bummer.

No one has actually come close to that "ideal". In the last 20 years porn has specialised so much that you can easily avoid most of the annoying types, or see them in films where they are forced to behave (so, I don't think David Perry has ever spat on a girl's asshole in a Dorcel movie).

I will give a silver medal of annoyance though to all the husbands/boyfriends who force their wives/gfs to only perform with them.
