I was looking through my small library of Carry On books last night and spotted the pic below. Is she your mystery woman jinjoe? If it is then we are down to two names Angie or Karen.

hmmm interesting pic Ace i cant really tell tho from this pic alone, however i did google the names you put on the thread and so far im still a little confused as to which one it could be, right i've just viewd this scene on youtube and the harem girl sure looks like the one i'm trying to id.

after googling Angela Grant here's a pic of her from the net,

if you look at the pic i posted from UP THE KHYBER there's a resemblance no doubt about it , however is she the one ? according to wikipedia she was in CARRY ON GIRLS

In the recent drama HATTIE played by Ruth Jones on BBC4 they recreated some scenes that Hattie Jacques and Esma(Esme) Cannon made for 'Carry On Cabby' with Marcia Warren playing the rather embittered Australian Cannon-see pic below-even had someone playing the director Gerald Thomas.

Sally Douglas. she appeared in a number of carry on films [carry on cleo, carry on cowbow, carryon spying. annd carry on screaming]. but she was never credited.
She also appeared in up pompei and goldfinger.

I grew up with the carry on films and they should be left well alone, as none of the suggested casting could hold a light to the original carry on team of James, William, Hawtrey and Sims, for at one time or another that had done other films together out with the carry on films so know each other quite well, where most of the comedians today don’t like each other, and find it quite hard playing themselves let alone doing a character, but the carry on humour was of the seaside postcard type, which is frowned upon by the PC brigade as being sexist, but that’s because they never got the humour in the first place, and the ones that did never owned up to it, for they would have been slagged of by the people they were trying to impress.

Before 'Carry On Colombus' sailed into the sunset of doom-it was that bad!-there was talk of a spoof on JR Ewing and company-to be called 'Carry On Dallas' as its working title but Barbara Windsor was down to play Juicy Stewing and the late Kenneth Williams would have been R.U. Ramming. Now considering this was reported in The Sun at the time, I am not sure how real it was, but another idea was to be 'Carry On London' which thankfully was abandoned. I cannot see how that type of film, no matter how PC they made could survive in this day and age. One final aside, Sid James always regarded Tony Hancock as 'his best friend' but Tony showed his true paranoic colours and fired him and his writers Galton & Simpson because he didn't want he and Sid to become a double act. James went onto bigger things whereas Tony died of a barbituate overdose in Australia-what a waste!

saw a doc few weeks back that confirmed ur suggestion about tony and syd. seems he went on firing everyone, including the writers, just to show it was him making the show so good, but with no one to knock off, or anyone to write the scripts... it collapsed.... shows what a sad man he was...... fame and stardom has messed up so many great comedians..... glad im not famous... i got enough trouble already...lol

I have to agree Carry On Columbus was the final nail in the coffin but the series was on it's death bed by the mid seventies.

Sorry for the delay in getting back in regard to the name of the Hospitality Girl from Up the Kyber. I've been doing a bit more research and looking at the pictures below and its definately the same actress in both pics.

However I'm now 99% sure that it isn't Angela Grant. I found a much better picture of her.

While there are certain similarities but its mainly the mouth where they differ Angela's lips are fuller than your mystery lady. Additional confirmation came when I came arcoss this pic.

That is Angela to Kenny Williams right. So to my mind that means the name of your actress must be Karen Young.
