Hopefully this annoying oik was constantly gabbing because of his links to the Bucs, lets hope the Colts avoid MNF, his other team.

Sad we are discussing the analyst rather than the game which went down to the wire.

There are many weird things that happen in the NFL, but we are nearing the point when we can separate the good teams from the bad. Injuries can disrupt teams, e.g., Jacksonville playing without its star running back, left tackle, right guard. I avoided the Bills & Vikings because the spread was too big, but got burned by the Eagles failing to cover. Falcons & Saints was too close to call. The line was unfavorable for Bears & Cardinals.

But you are mostly right. We don't know what we are going to get from many of these teams and it is best to err on the side of caution when betting.

I'm a little worried about the Rams. I think they might be really good and deny Carolina a SB place.

Watching NBL teams play NBA teams is kind of lame.

Boy, that Fins team yesterday looked a lot like the Fins team of last year. Not that I was expecting them to to beat NE, but certainly hoped for a more competitive game.

One minor gripe, and one that certainly would not have affected the outcome at all, but it's one the officials continually get wrong: the fumble scrum. When a player has been contacted by an opposing player, is on the ground and takes possession of the football, he is down by contact and the play is over. Instead the officials allow two (or more) players to fight over possession.

In yesterday's game Tannehill runs after the muffed snap and is tackled. While on the ground he reaches out with his left arm and pulls the football to his shoulder. At this point the play should be blown dead, and possession should stay with the Fins. Instead the officials allow T-Hill and the Pats player to continue to fight over the ball, until the Pats player finally takes it away from him.

Contact+ground+ball should mean the play is over.

Watching Monday Night Football and he's back.

I guess he is part of the ESPN MNF commentary crew.

He is not as talkative today.

Maybe he did read the complaints on ESPN Facebook page and his Twitter page from last week about him talking too much!

Did anyone see the Ravens/Steelers game last night? Former NFL coach Jeff Fisher has to be the most boring football commentator on the air.

Not at all surprising. He was an unimaginative and inept coach. I have never understood how he kept his jobs so long. But then again, Norv Turner is back for another round.
