Default We scored 39 points!!! but gave up 41

Niner fans really miss Jeff Fisher. We also long for the good old days when we had a defense.

We have the Giants, Titans & Jaguars at home & the Colts in Indy on October 8 as our hopes to finish 3-13. In the meantime, John Lynch will be busy scouring other teams' practice squads and scouting college players in anticipation of high draft picks. Hopefully, he will mirror Reggie McKenzie's success in Oakland.

And we could have easily made it 42, except for that crooked ref. And against Seattle, we had a defense. It was the offense that was hibernating at the time.

One really has to wonder at just how bad Seattle's offense is. Perhaps, the rematch in Santa Clara is a possible win.

I wouldn't call out a referee for being crooked in situations like this. Bad teams routinely get dissed by the officials in all sports until they prove worthy of respect.

Refs only favour the Pats.

...And Pittsburgh in sb40.

As a Hawks guy, I sure liked it when both the Hawks and the Niners played at the top of their games. The rivalry strengthened both teams, It's a pity that Harbaugh got ran outta town by thin skinned owners.

As far as the most recent Hawks/Niners game, the Niners got the shaft on quite a few bad calls. In a close game, that means the difference between winning and losing. The refs have an obligation not to affect the outcome of the game. The seahawks won in week 2, because of bad calls. Unlike the week before in Green Bay, where the Hawks got one stolen from them by the officials.

It's incorrect to blame the losing team and say,"If you'd played better, the refs poor calls wouldn't have mattered." Close games are more exciting to watch and league benefits by having more of them. But the NFL has an obligation to get the officiating right. EVERY GAME.

The fans get to review every play, the refs should be able to review every play.

If the Hawks offense was doing what it's supposed to do, neither game would've been close. he sooner that Bevell, the O coordinator gets the sack, he better off Seattle will be.

And I sure hope that the Niners rise again...

No. It's usually the scoreboard that favours the Pats.

Technically both teams are rated as "bad", based on their records of last season. And it's not much of a stretch to wonder if the refs are being urged to 'assist' the two LA teams, especially when the league is not really established down there yet, and both teams are struggling to fill the seats.

Which brings up another thing. I can't believe that the Chargers are playing in a 27,000 seat stadium, and still have empty seats. I don't care how bad the sightlines are in Carson. In a metro area of more than 16 million, an NFL team cannot get 27,000 people to attend their games? This is beyond embarrassing.
