Timeless.
I love the line, where after the time machines is stolen, the heroine asked the inventor why he would be stupid enough to invent something so dangerous and he embarrassedly replies to the effect that he didn't expect anyone to steal it. And the twist at the end of the first episode was a nice touch too. |

Another heart-pounding moment in Planet Earth II on Sunday-would the wolf get to the small calf belting along across a desolate plain, with no cover or place to hide it ran for it. The wolf looked at one point to catching him but with a sudden burst of speed reminiscent of Road Runner it belted off and the wolf had to slow down. Phew!
Still enjoying Close to the Enemy 9pm Thursdays BBC2/repeated Friday 11pm even if it has been at times complicated to follow. New series of QI-XL with Sandi Toksvig instead of Stephen Fry has been very good, not lost any of it's old magic. DC Legends of Tomorrow also looking very good in it's second season.

Me and the other half have been watching the X-files the complete collection on a channel called Spike. They have been showing 1 a night so we record the episodes and watch when we can.
We are up to season 9 so the end is nigh and i have to say it's been pretty good even without Mulder and to a lesser extant Scully. I think Doggett and Reyes are doing ok and some pretty good episodes to boot. I had never seen it before apart from season 10, first couple of seasons the music was over mixed and you couldn't hear alot of the talking, mind you it doesn't help with David Duchovny's mumbling. All in all a pretty good series, just wonder what show to watch after its all done? |

Just this minute finished watching the final episode of Planet Earth II - Cities.
It would be difficult for me to think of a finer 60 minutes of television to recommend. Enchanting, exciting and enlightening. Revealing, intoxicating and educational. Beautiful!

I thought Undercover was hilariously "Guardian op-ed" - the impassioned speech in the court was beyond parody
