Catherine "Cat" Cora was born in Jackson, Mississippi and is of Greek American descent, and she was raised in a Greek community. With both her grandfather and father restaurateurs, it was perhaps inevitable that she would also end up in the trade ... but not inevitable as she obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise Physiology and Biology at the University of Southern Mississippi. However when she enrolled at the Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, New York her path was set.

With her looks she was a natural for TV and has appeared on the TV help show 'Simplify Your Life' and was also a co-host of the Food Network show 'Kitchen Accomplished'. In 2006 she was hired as a paid spokesperson for a garbage disposal system, and is also Executive Chef for 'Bon Appétit' magazine, as well as appearing in the cooking section of the September 2006 issue of FHM magazine. She is founder of the 'Cat Cora' chain of bar and lounge style restaurants in US airports and Disney parks. Currently she is the co-host of the show 'Around the World in 80 Plates' an American reality competition TV show on the Bravo cable TV network.

She is openly lesbian and has four sons with her partner (who bore three of them, while she had the other). But while this is interesting, the main reason she is here is that in June 2012 she was arrested for DUI. She rear-ended a vehicle after leaving a tavern in Santa Barbara, Calif. She was breathalysed and was allegedly found to have a blood alcohol level of .08 or higher. When it came to court she pled no contest to the offence in return for her remaining DUI count charges (the bump into another car) dropped.

She was, however, sentenced to three years probation and three months of DUI school, and paid $2,386 in fines. Additionally, she received a 120-day suspended jail sentence, which she won't serve if she fulfills her other requirements.

She said in a statement shortly after her arrest that "I deeply regret my decision to drive that evening after my designated driver became unavailable. I learned a very important lesson from this experience and take full accountability for my actions. This will never happen again".

• She does a lot for charity and co-founded 'Chefs For Humanity', participated in charity wine auctions held by Auction Napa Valley and is a UNICEF spokesperson.
• In March 2006, Cora was the Grand Marshal for Hal and Mal's St. Paddy's Parade in her hometown of Jackson, Mississippi.

Suzy Favor-Hamilton was born in Stevens Point, Wisconsin, USA. She began running at age nine and she attended the University of Wisconsin–Madison, receiving a bachelor of science degree in graphic arts in 1991 and marrying the pitcher on the University baseball team. Her collegiate running career was record breaking, with nine NCAA individual titles and a host of awards.

She then became an American Olympian ..... Competing three times for the U.S. in the Olympic Games, 1992, 1996 and 2000, also holding various US and Pan American records. Needless to say she had plenty of celebrity and media coverage, both on the track and off it. Highlights include:

She currently operates a successful Madison, Wisconsin real estate brokerage with her husband, delivers motivational speeches, and does promotional work for various businesses and groups, including Disney’s running series and Wisconsin’s Potato & Vegetable Growers Association.

She said that she deliberately fell and threw in the towel in the 2000 Olympics when it was clear that she could not win a medal (she claimed this was because she was trying to win a medal in memory of a relative who had recently died .... )

She also featured in a controversial Nike advert during the 2000 Olympics which was pulled after airing for only a short period of time. It featured a chainsaw-wielding masked killer appears behind her and attempts to kill her in a scary old house ... She manages to outrun him thanks to her Nike trainers, and the ad closes with the message, "Why sport? You'll live longer". Nike said it was meant to be humorous and Hamilton herself stated the ad was inspirational .... protesters said it was too scary for kids, or it made light of violence against women (.... really, some people need to get a life!!).

In 2012, Hamilton admitted working for an escort service in Las Vegas, after 'The Smoking Gun' broke the story. Apparently in December 2011 she started booking scores of “dates” in Las Vegas and other U.S. cities, including Los Angeles, Chicago, and Houston for the escort agency 'Haley Heston’s Private Collection' (advertised on the 'The Erotic Review' TER). Hamilton charged rates of $600 an hour, and up to $6,000 for a 24-hour period. Additionally, she would charge $300 more for a particular (unspecified) sex act. She used the alias “Kelly Lundy” (“Kelly” was TER’s third-ranked “provider” in Las Vegas), but then she blabbed her identity to several of the 'tricks' (aka 'johns') .... apparently assuming that men who use prostitutes wouldn't talk ... .... Well they do, and they did, and the story broke.

She apparently did it because it gave her 'excitement' from her routine marital existence, and she confirmed that her husband was aware of her sideline but that, “He tried, he tried to get me to stop. He wasn't supportive of this at all” (quelle surprise!) .... she has stated previously that she suffered from depression after the birth of her child and was prescribed an antidepressant drug. She apparently hadn't considered the legal consequences of her work, and has said that she had already told some of her 'regulars' that she was stopping, and that she has recently started therapy to “figure out myself why I've done what I've done” .... ah well, better late than never!

Gennifer Flowers was born in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma USA. She started early on the celeb trail, appearing professionally as a singer at the age of five, and cut her first record at the age of eleven for United Southern Artists. However she apparently never made the sales breakthrough, and after finishing her education at Arkansas University, she began working as a news reporter for KARK-TV in Little Rock, Arkansas (all the while, continuing as a cabaret singer).

She moved away from Arkansas, and pursued a varied career trying to get the fame breakthrough, including films, where her first movie role was in 'Frenchman's Farm' (under the name Jennifer Flowers) in 1987. However her attempts to make it in show business seem to have not worked out, and she returned to Arkansas, where she eventually took up employment as an administrative assistant for the Arkansas Appeal Tribunal.

However, when she returned to the national limelight in the early 1990's, she made a further assault on showbiz with another 3 film appearances, plus a number of TV and documentary appearances. She also appeared on a number of talk shows on foreign TV channels, such as the 'Frank Skinner Christmas Show' on Britain's BBC1.

She then appeared as herself in the 2000 feature 'Play It to the Bone', and she married a stockbroker with whom she opened and ran a cabaret in the French Quarter of New Orleans, called 'Gennifer Flowers Kelsto Club'. She made her NY theatre debut in 2004, acting briefly as a replacement in the Off-Broadway hit 'Boobs! The Musical'.

Unfortunately her cabaret club was closed following Hurricane Katrina, and she is now a jazz and blues cabaret performer. As of 2007, she was living in Las Vegas, Nevada, where she occasionally writes a column and still performs. She recently pitched for a reality TV show based on the “Real Housewives” series, noting that she is always looking for romance and “tends to date men about 20 years younger”.

Her Oops made headlines around the world .... in 1977 while a local TV reporter she met, and began a sexual relationship that lasted for twelve years with the then Governor of Arkansas, and later President of the USA, Bill Clinton. The affair was broken when she left the state, but resumed upon her return and while she was actually employed by the state of Arkansas. The story broke during Bill Clinton's 1992 Presidential election campaign and after initially denying it, she then said it was true. 'Slick Willy' did his usual and denied all, but she played tape recordings she had secretly made of phone calls with Clinton on TV, and the cat was out of the bag. However he only admitted the sexual side of the affair in his presidential deposition of January 1998.

She cashed in on the publicity when she posed nude for P*nthouse magazine and was featured in the December 1992 issue, along with her story "Gennifer Flowers Tells All, Shows All". In 1998, Flowers admitted that she had made a total net profit of $500,000 by publicizing her alleged affair with Clinton to 'P*nthouse', 'Star Magazine' and other news sources.

In mid-2008, she and Paula Jones (who was another Clinton conquest), made headlines again when they launched an unusual 'Internet venture', in which they offered video clips of their stories and thoughts about ex Pres. Clinton .... for a fee of course

Somehow I keep struggling on, and so whilst we are visiting Arkansas we should take in another of that constant source of joy to fans of the obscure celeb .... the ex beauty queen.

20 yr old Megan Burgess of Hot Springs, Arkansas was a student at Arkansas University (aka 'bill county' ) and is now the former holder of the title of 'Miss Arkansas Teen' 2010, and who shortly after handing over the title to her successor was arrested for public intoxication. She was reported to the University Police by an anonymous caller, who said that she was behaving in a strange manner at 1 a.m. on a January Saturday morning in 2011.

Police found her outside, sitting in the snow and the police said that she was arrested as she was "unstable on her feet and a danger to herself". She was reported to be "mortified" about the situation ... and says she's "sorry if I brought any shame on my state". You'll all be glad to know that the the Miss USA Organization isn't holding any grudge, telling the press that Megan "is a sweet girl who exemplifies the values of a Miss Teen title holder"

She was scheduled to appear in court for a possible fine on February the 7th of 2011 (for both the public intoxication, and the fact that she was apparently underage in Arkansas, which seemingly has a 21 yr age limit for the consumption of alcohol) .... but she then disappears from record (as is often the way with our girls).

A bit of a change of pace now, but staying in the deep South. We have South Carolina peach, and 'Pin Up Girl' of the Republican Party, Kathryn Calhoun Dennis. The daughter of two prominent South Carolina political families, and tracing her lineage back to prominent longtime State Senator Rembert Dennis and former U.S. Vice President John C. Calhoun .... apparently much of the state capital is named after people she is related to.

She herself has long term political ambitions, but firstly started modelling in order to raise her profile before taking "a break from modeling in order to put greater focus on my studies at the University of South Carolina", where she is the recruitment chairwoman for the University of South Carolina College Republicans. Her modelling credits include 'Crystal Driggers' and 'Salty's Board Shop' !?

However she has greater ambitions than just modelling, and describes herself as a “small town girl with big-time dreams”, and she is believed to be one of three young female politicos in the 'Palmetto State' (South Carolina), who was being considered for starring roles in a new reality television program tentatively dubbed “Divas of the Deep South.”

So with everything going so swimmingly, it must have been something of a shock when she hit the first of lifes little buffers ..... in May 2012, Berkeley County Sheriffs Officers arrested her in Berkeley County, and charged her with underage possession of alcohol and disorderly conduct.

What made it worse was that she was in the car with a former boyfriend at the time of her arrest (It’s unclear whether her companion was charged with a crime related to the incident – which occurred on May 26), .... this was just a few days before she was confirmed as dating former S.C. Rep. Thad Viers. Her current high local celeb status meant that the story got coverage mostly just locally, but with some interest in the rest of the US as well.

Friends suggest that that she was very distraught as a result of the arrest and “thinks it’s the end of the world” .... probably not! .... I expect that we will see more of this lady

Karen Dejo who was born in 1980, is a Peruvian born actress and exponent of cumbia dancing. She started her career as a model, and later showed her skills as a dancer when she performed as a ballerina in the TV Show 'La Movida de los Sabados' with "Jeanet Barboza", and has since gone on to appear in numerous Latin American television presentations. She subsequently performed in the internationally-broadcast telenovela 'Besos Robados' in 2004. She has also appeared in roles in 'Chicha Tu Madre' and 'Talk Show'.

She has also broken into the music scene and joined the band 'Alma Bella', with some success. She has also appeared in the theater, and has also performed in a circus.

Her role as 'Paola' in the erotic TV series 'Bellas y Ambiciosas' in 2006 with Raúl Olivo made her well known throughout the Spanish speaking world where it was shown.

But her Super Oops was that she also was another believer that the video cam and 'private' sex were meant to go together ...... they aren't. So obviously a video has emerged of her frolicking nude in the breaking waves with her boyfriend. Things turn more serious, and the couple are shown with Dejo on top having sex. It's not clear if she connived in the filming or not

Karla Edecan is a model from Mexico. She is a promo-girl and a cheerleader for 'Los Potros', a Tijuana baseball team. She has also worked as a model for Budweiser and Telcel as well as doing promotion nights for these and other companies. That seems to be all she was 'known' for until an 'accident' of chance brought her to wider renown.

Lara Bingle follow up: When last we left our heroine I was speculating that although 'Her future career course is unknown, she is a good looking gal' and that I kinda expected that despite all the controversy over her nipple shot photo, legal shenanigans, and love life difficulties (its all on the original post), she would rise again.

So it was with no great surprise that I found out that she was now dating again, and her career resumed. She had presented a radio show before getting her own TV reality show 'Being Lara Bingle', but this was was recently axed, and she is now apparently focusing on developing her own fashion brand.

Well, she has managed to engage my attention with some more events .....

The 'TV star' outraged her Twitter followers by posting a black-and-white picture of two poor children smoking, with the caption, "Poverty stricken but still cool as fuck".

She also found that cars can be bothersome to a gal with celebdom beckoning, and she managed to get get her driving licence suspended after being booked for speeding six times since the beginning of the year.

But she wasn't going to let a little thing like the law stop her, and so she apparently just carried on driving, licence or no licence. Inevitably things just got worse, and in May 2012 she was accused of leaving the scene of an accident without identifying herself to the injured motorcyclist after a collision with her Range Rover in Bondi .....

Arrest and charges soon followed, and she appeared in Waverley Court on the 18th September 2012 .... the Magistrate told her, "I think you should by now realise how serious this offense is. The facts are concerning in a number of ways - certainly the court has to be concerned with the fact that there was a collision and you left the scene. There was no doubt you were aware that your license was suspended." He then fined her $3,500 and gave her a further 12-month driving ban and an 18-month good behaviour bond ...... you can't keep these gals down.

Petra Slapar is a Slovenian singer, educated at the Faculty of Natural Sciences. Now married she uses the name Petra Lavtar Slapar.
