Well the Remainers accuse me of being a thick racist, a working class populist moron, a mob member and a Nationalist. All I did was look at the facts of British membership of the EU and decide that any potential harm to Britain by leaving was better than the guaranteed harm to the country by staying. I'm not bothered much about immigration, but I am appalled by the dogs breakfast of a so called union created by the projects federalists. Oh and I don't recall any of our MP's wanting to scrutinise every last word of Maastriicht or Lisbon.

Funny you should say that. I can get you a good discount for a chalet near Les Gits for skiing or a large house in the Italian Alps for all sorts of outdoor activities (even the odd earthquake).

So, if I understand your logic, you consider Germans to be delightful people, therefore the UK should hand over much of it's sovereignty to a bunch of unelected bureaucrats in Belgium.

not in the slightest. I was commenting on the assumptions of somebody in Quebec who has probably only ever encountered Germans through war films.

The UK did the right thing to leave the EU. Brits don't goose-step to the tune of Jack-Booted thugs. If Germany wants to rule, well, they'll have to do it the old fashioned way, by beating our troops.

As for handing sovereignty, every organisation has rules that you have to follow if you want to be a member. It's not giving up sovereignty. Once we leave our sovereignty is likely to be affected more negatively. We'll be desperate to sign trade deals so are more likely to let standards drop to get the other side to agree.

The unelected bureaucrats you refer to are the EU civil service who run the day to day business. You don't harp on about the UK civil service do you? Do you complain about the wholly unelected House of Lords?
