Music in porn movies
I have strange taste in music, i can listen to Iron Maiden's the trooper, Goldsmith's Rambo theme, Double Dragon II from Nintendo Entertainment System, or Jan Hammer's miami vice themes...And some porn music.
I've never found out anything about music in porn, much people think it's pure crap but some could please you. i'm fond of the intro music of Dorcel's Les menteuses, and Constat d'adulteres, 2 gems. not a fcking info about these, no singer name, nothing. do you like music from porn ? do you know about these songs ? |

I listen to all kinds of music. Thought I don't know a lot about HC porn music. There were a few compilation CD's that came out many years ago.
I just discovered Ilona Staller (AKA Cicciolina) and her music. Some of her CD's contain music from her films. Primarily I enjoy softcore soundtracks like the following: Angel, Bilitis, Emanulle series, Laura, Perils Of Gwendoline, 3 In The Attic, Butterfly, Story Of O, etc. |

I read somewhere not long ago , that Rupert Holmes who sang Escape (The Pina Colada song) had after his (very) few hits, built a career writing music for porn flicks. No, can't name any of the movies, I don't watch porn for the music

We already have 2 threads about music in porn flicks. When people usually talk about porn music, they refer to the funky stuff in 70ies flicks. I can't say I'm a big fan of that fake funk since I prefer the real thing. But the music later was different. Lots of synth sound and even hard rock. I guess you can say that later porn music (mid-80ies/early 90ies) was a mix of rock/smooth jazz/new age and even synth pop. While classic flicks had their own soundtracks, later productions took their music mostly from libraries which is why you'll hear one or another same track in different movies.

Should also be noted some porn flicks of the 70's used "popular" copyrighted music in their productions. I'm sure without permission or paying licensing fees.

I've heard some porn soundtracks that stuck with me while others are just so purposely pre-fab and non-memorable. My faves are typically the 70s disco funk or some of the pilfered music Sirch is describing ^ like my first vhs porn purchase which included some Jean Michel Jarre (Oxygen)and 60s surf rock (possibly Dick Dale or The Ventures) as background music for a compilation of 70s scenes.

Some used it even later. I think I heard an instrumental cover version of "Everybody Wants to Rule the World" by Tears for Fears in the Italian flick Inside Napoli.

I used to know how to play the opening credits piece of '"F" - and lots of it' on the piano. I secretly wished that one day I would be publicly playing it (which I did often when I saw a piano I could try) someone would come up to me and say "Hey, I know this song from somewhere!" and I would just grin back to the fellow wanker
Sadly, this never happened (maybe "F" wasn't so popular after all), so I kept my secret. Today I've forgotten it already and probably would need more rehearsals to pick it up. Another 'vision' I had was to somehow obtain some of the music CeeCee used as backgrounds on their shorts. I (or a fellow tech) would then play this music as a soundcheck on rock gigs, and wait for someone in the audience to respond. I did some sound tech work earlier, but never got to try this out. Would this 'easteregg' still be something to try out?

I don't watch porn, I joined this forum to find the ID of a model to use in my art.
Ha, but whenever I think of porno music, I think of "See You Next Wednesday" from American Werewolf in London. Ultra cheesy, almost pipe-organeseque 70's era music, playing in a porno theater while a cop stumbles across the werewolf mutilating more victims. |

Oh, I like the fake funk, which was usually library music, quite often KPM or similar. What I can't bear is the synthesised non-copyright rubbish plastered over Fiona Cooper videos. Usually with a waterfall sound effect that makes you want to pee.
