This thread in 2017 was about him being paroled.

Now we sit four years done in his five year parole and no matter where anyone sits on 1994 acquittal or 1996 civil suit or 2008 arrest and 33 year sentence, he is one year away from serving his sentence.

He seems to still love playing golf and is thin these days, he never left Vegas after Florida fought his return, and seems to live at a friends house on a golf course.

Any violation of his parole (even drinking too much) he immediately goes back to Lovelock to serve the remainder of his sentence, as in what's left of 33 years, and if he receives credit for good time the last four years, with no reported issues, he could be free earlier.

Simpson plays no games on twitter whether you like him or not, he does his I'm just saying video's where he speaks out on subjects, sports, people, he gets some nice responses mixed in with the 94 digs about being a murderer.

Some of his stuff is controversial like a player should get vaccinated or go home, but he's still articulate and makes his points on video quite well for someone 74.

I'm shocked he got this far without a parole violation after he terrible performance in the parole hearing, but here he is, living large and no violations.

I think he's going to make it to the five years. No, the Goldmans's or Nicole's family will see a cent because by law his pension is untouchable.

There's no need to worry about OJ Simpson. He can't be late returning a library book or he'll go inside again. It's only a question of when, not if.

His problem, of course, is that no one has accepted his acquittal. As far as public opinion is concerned, his debt to society remains unpaid. He lives in a kind of exile, a bit like a character in an Icelandic saga sentenced to Outlawry by the Allthing parliament and choosing to remain at home rather than flee the country. OJ's blood isn't legal; no one is allowed to kill him, as would be the punishment in an Icelandic saga for the character who refused to leave Iceland. But he is a prize coveted by everyone from the FBI to the Highway Patrol, and most non-law enforcement US citizens will be pleased if he falls into their basket again. Rightly so IMHO.

I thought it was a matter of when after he first got out and had problems in a restaurant and there was a question of drinking above what he's allowed to drink, but that was one circumstance, and since then nothing.

To the best of my understanding since he was granted parole in July 2017, if he complete his five years outside with no violations, he was free and clear of any further obligation to Las Vegas corrections, his sentence fully served.

As for 1994 the history is written, many will think he's guilty forever (myself) because of his past violence issues with his wife, and simply because DNA does not lie, but that's a private jail he will serve life in with or without bars.

He was convicted rightfully for his actions in Vegas, but he did not take the plea bargain offered by Vegas DA which was about three years, he violated parole (by talking with people he was not supposed to contact) before the trial, and was hauled back to Vegas from Florida, and Jackie Glass doubled his bail, but at that time for some reason he was allowed to leave the state and fly freely. He stayed with his bail bondsman who said he was taking fits at the time and blaming Nicole as he spoke to himself.

Eventually the trial happened, he was found guilty of all charges handily, and people can make their own call if Jackie Glass sentence was about 94, or the law. Glass said in 2017 he should be paroled after nine years, and gave him what he deserved. During the Vegas trial he acted like it was a big joke until it was time to pronounce sentence.

The entire thing was keystone kops in Vegas and all of them had some kind of criminal records, but his guys holding guns, and it all being on audio with other guy selling him out clinched it. Simpson masterminded it to get back his stuff. (instead of calling the police himself)

I don't agree with you Scoundrel on this one but do agree if anyone could blow his parole in the final year before he was free and clear it would be Simpson, he did everything he could during his 2017 hearing to make the panel reject him for what was going to be a formality, but all of them were like he's got his points required for parole, and gave it to him.

Nicole's family only sued him for the value of the clothes she was wearing at the time of her murder...yes, you read that correctly.

Goldman's father has said repeatedly that they've never seen a cent of the $30something million they were awarded.
