I've been attacked by FBI Moneypak several times. I suspect this is more of a rogue script and not a "true" virus since each time I was able to use Task Manager to kill my Firefox session(s) and afterwards I did not observe any virus activity or Windows processes that were not there prior to the incident.

One thing additional. Since taking the advise of VEF member Buttsie, I installed the FireFox plugin NoScript. So far I have not had a visit from FBI MoneyPak and scans of my machine with Bitdefender Internet Security and MalwareBytes Anti-Malware have been absolutely clean.

It would help if you can post a link to the actual post concerned.

Just opened it and as proof same image re-upped to Imagebam

It's not the actual image that hosts the nuisance. It's a more sinister threat that can seem to attack almost anywhere.

Sorry that you got that warning while following one of my attachments!
I too had some warnings while following attachments from PimpAndHost, that's why I installed Malwarebytes Anti-Malware.

When following now the above mentioned attachment I got the following warning:

As you can see the domain that was blocked isn't PimpAndHost but media101.sweetbanner.biz

.

I'd be poetic justice if these clowns run afoul of the real FBI, which probably doesn't like being impersonated.

I use Google Chrome and they have an extension called "Script Safe." Has anyone used it? Does it work well? Thanks.

Default FBI Thing

Beware: One just popped up on me on post 421 in the Andrea/Nadia/Pixie thread. Had to shut down the puter & reboot to get away.

How do these get attached when you click on the image host?

Thankfully, both Buttsie and Jenny recommended No-Script, and after installing it I have had no problems at all. My thanks to them both! It's been a Godsend I'm sure.

I have also started using sandbox, again on Buttsie's recommendation.

As the Irish would say: 'To be sure, to be sure'!

I'm using Palemoon, BTW. With Avast Free.

So far, no problems...... Long may it continue!
