On the issue of dupes
May I suggest to the Staff a strategy that could be helpful, considering that VEF's archives appear to be about to suffer a significant reduction in size: Does it make sense to suspend the current rule on avoiding dupes, and let the membership (at least for a controlled time period) just post/repost whatever they have that is pertinent in the individual content threads? I am assuming that many current posts will still show their thumbnails but the links will be dead. Just marking these many posts as having dead Imagebam/box links could turn out to be a huge Staff chore. Up until now, if I wanted to post material I have that is pertinent to a certain actress, let's say, then I might have to wade through hundreds of previous posts to be sure my material was novel. After the debacle strikes, this no longer makes sense, thus my suggestion to temporarily suspend any prohibition of dupes until the rebuilding of the archives has been substantially achieved.
