Netflix's original sci-fi horror feature “Tau” starring Gary Oldman as the voice of an AI-driven smart house that terrorizes its inhabitants in a horrifying game of cat and mouse.

“It Follows” star Maika Monroe plays a young woman living in a futuristic city who gets kidnapped and injected by a mysterious stranger and psychotic inventor (Ed Skrein).

She wakes up strapped to a chair in a strange house run by the artificial intelligence Tau. The inventor gives her a choice: do as the house says, or die. She attempts to escape by befriending the A.I. program that controls the house.

“Tau” premieres on Netflix on June 29th.

Why do Aquaman and all the inhabitants of Atlantis have legs I've always wondered? The TV show Siren is a much better depiction of a mermaid. Eline Powell as Ryn has a real otherworldly quality to her, whereas Arthur Curry just looks like a wet bikie.

It sounds just a bit like this:

The Avengers: The House That Jack Built
Produced: mid-January 1966
UK Premiere (London, Season 4): 4 March 1966

Emma is lured to an empty house that was willed to her by an uncle she never knew she had. The uncle turns out to be a deranged technology businessman with too much spare time, too much money, and a colossal grudge against Emma, who had sacked him back when she was Emma Knight of Knight Industries. Fittingly, the house she inherits is a giant computerized mousetrap designed to drive her insane.

All Star Wars spinoff films have been indefinitely postponed in the wake of Solo's failure.

As a massive fan of R1 & I believe that Fett & Mangold were a utterly perfect match, I am fairly pissed off.
Plus I have heard nothing but people being hopeful about the Obi Wan movie.

This is not the answer. If they want to rectify things they need to do a film fans are actually asking for unlike Solo which would be the Obi Wan film. Then they need to do a film that will rectify the things people are angry about. A Luke movie set a few years before Kylo lost his shit showing him in a purely postive light teaching his students & going on peace keeping missions all over the galaxy might do this. Actually show us the Republic our heroes created after the original trilogy. (Fuck JJ for destroying it without letting us see it)

Solo failed because the Star Wars fan retaliated over director Johnson's self indulged political agenda driven The Last Jedi.

Johnson has been hand over the reign of making a new Star Wars trilogy that has nothing to do with the canon of the original trilogy.

I have the entire series on DVD.

I need to dig it up.

I've seen a few episodes here and there on TV when I was a kid but I have never seen every episode in the series.

Same goes for the original Mission Impossible series which I also have in its entirety on DVD.

Old shows are never as good as you remember them being. Kung Fu, The Avengers, Callan, Hill Street Blues...not necessarily bad, just really dated.

To some extent, I agree. The original Star Trek is not a patch on The Orville. On the other hand, some early material like The Twilight Zone had excellent ideas, just a limit on how much they could spend on productions and sometimes limits on what was acceptable to discuss or show. You see some of this stuff, along with material from The Outer Limits still being ripped off half a century later.

Now, there are TV shows like Bosch, Outlander or Man in the High Castle that have around ten million spent on each episode. Excellent stories, great acting and very high production values that give us top notch shows, the like of which have not been seen before. But as far as I'm concerned, some attempts at remakes are just a waste of time like the lame Prisoner series and a string of really poor movies like the remakes of Total Recall or Get Carter.

But personally, I love Hammer Films. Some are now verging on comedy, but they have something about them that holds my attention.

That is so true, I've got all the original Twilight Zone episodes. It would be amazing what a creative talent like Rod Serling could do if he was around today.
