Red face Guilty pleasures.

No, not a saucy film from the seventies but some, let's say film, or T.V. series, song/s that you really shouldn't admit liking; but you just can't help yourself.
You know, like in the past when you've just done the biz with someone who your brain says no.. but your balls say go! And you feel just a little bit durty and ashamed to admit to oneself that you really enjoyed the experience.

Well, the other night Mrs Sidney and I ended up watching the film 'Snakes on a plane', and I'm ashamed to say that we totally enjoyed watching a pile of crap.

Another is watching Gordon 'effin' Ramsay tear into some f**kwit in a sh*t restaurant.
Finally, I know I'm going to flamed for this and I deserve to be: Watching really fat, obese people on the television trying lose some weight and marveling at the amount of crap they manage to eat in a day.
Car-crash T.V. at it's best.

I'm a grown man and a Miley Cyrus fan.It all started honestly enough.....I'd watch Hannah Montana with my kids and eventually i realized she's going to be hot............Well at least here she won't be hot for another two years. But you guys in the UK know she got hot last fall

Now it's to the point, she's on my Ipod-i actually listen because I enjoy it.
Oh the shame.............

The problem with a 'Guilty Pleasure' when it comes up like this, is that it should be something that is irretrievably naff and embarrassing to admit to liking. What usually gets suggested is more often that not actually quite good of its type, well crafted pop music from years ago, for example which anyone with any musical taste could see the worth of. I've yet to find anyone including such a crap band as Barclay James Harvest or songs like 'Chirpy Cheep Cheep' in their list of GPs.

"Snoopy vs. the Red Baron" by the Royal Guardsmen! In fact, I love all of the Snoopy songs. Ten, Twenty, Thirty......HEHE!

Being truely naff and without redeeming features that would be totally a guilty pleasure. Pity its just spam crap.

In case you are wondering, this posting was in response to a spam posting which seems to have disappeared. Farowt be my witness.

The Disney channel, in general. Kim Possible, and Phineas & Ferb in particular (I have "Squirrels in my Pants" on my Blackberry). Also, The Power Puff Girls, and Dexter's Laboratory.

I plan to give them all up when I turn 60 . . . maybe.

Default Carry On

My most guilty pleasure was watching many of the (by and large awful) British "Carry On" movies in the seventies, purely to "perv" on Barbara Windsor.
I remember as a teen seeing a black and white cartoon ad for "Carry On Camping" and finding the caricature of "Babs", highly erotic at the time.
Can't seem to find the image on google search..
Funny how my taste in women hasn't really changed that much!
