My top five bands:-
The Beatles - The best band there ever will be. XTC - the only band I think ever came close. The Buzzcocks - The best punk era band. Fairport Convention - earlier rather than later. Steeleye Span - the bastard son of the above. Fave tracks respectively:- Strawberry Fields Forever No Language in Our Lungs I Believe Sloth King Henry That's it. Purely personal and I like many previous choices. |

When I was watching a re-run of Top of the Pops I discovered that Siouxsie and the Banshees did their own cover version of this back in 1982.
