Former Playboy model Brandi Brandt was sentenced to up to six years in prison Friday for being part of a drug smuggling ring that brought cocaine to Australia.
Brandt, who was once married to Motley Crue bassist Nikki Sixx, pleaded guilty in April to a charge of conspiring to import drugs. Prosecutors said she was part of a drug syndicate that hid packages of cocaine on Qantas and United Airlines passenger planes that flew from California to Sydney in 2007.

"Crime" What a laugh. No one, No organization, No government has the right to tell - any adult - what they can eat drink snort or smoke. People do not have the right to endanger anyone else by their own substance abuse, of course, but in a "safe situation", not operating a car etc, No one has the right to control any adults consumption of - anything. That being said I stopped using (except alcohol, nicotine, caffeine, chocolate etc.) many years ago. I do not drink and drive - ever, if I did and got caught, throw away the key.

As an aside you could legally purchase heroin, cocaine, and just about anything else up until the 1930s in the United States. That's when freedom began to disappear from the US in a big way.

One of my favourite playmates. Made every NSS special from the late 80's to the early 90's that much more special to me.

I have to agree. No government should have the right to tell individuals what they can and can't do with their bodies. Despite our common ground on this issue, there are laws in place. Brandi has free will and made her own choices and now she has to pay. I don't feel bad nor happy.
