How would you handle it if you were a Mod on VEF

How would you handle it if you were a Mod on VEF

I'm just wondering about that. Most of you all are able to log on here and just go ahead and have fun, visit threads you like and contribute to it

PM a member here and there if need be

or even cause the mods some grief

But imagine coming on here and having to answer a PM from an angry member for whatever, a post removal you know nothing about or even perhaps do

Imagine having to look at thread that makes you sick

Imagine having to PM or warn a member you consider a mate

At times I've wanted to throw the mouse through the screen, yet at times I've been laughing not at but with a post as I'm removing it

But most times I've logged off reasonably happy knowing I've done a reasonable job, not perfect , I don't get paid to be thorough

Points taken - but I'd be less aggressive in removing confirmation of IDs as seems to happen a lot. I will not gripe more, but one yesterday really annoyed me. Otherwise, good job in keeping the spammers away.

I'm an easy going guy. But I don't take shit from anyone. Diplomacy would be my attitude. But repeat offenders would be shot at close range by my 9mm ban gun.

I suspect like most people on here I am glad that I will never have to know. You would always hope that you would be reasonable, consistent etc but then you know what you are like on a bad day.

The point that really hit home for me was the idea of having to look at a post or thread that makes you sick. As a volunteer that would be hard.

As with most others I occasionally moan about mods but I reckon they do a pretty good job on the whole. To do it properly takes a degree of time and dedication that I can only begin to imagine.

You guys do a great job. I mod at a forum at the bottom of this page and I had to hit "that button" many times. It got to the point that I wanted to travel back to 1969 and nuke VietnamAs for "underqualified" - I like to think that we are the chosen ones !
