Passing gas is really determined by what you eat. Men usually eat more of those foods that cause gas such as spicy foods, fatty foods. I have heard women pass gas, but the sound is softer, and as one gets older the digestive system becomes less efficient which usually means more gas. It's just life.

My missus farts but they're always little quiet popping sounds, not long, loud stinky ones like mine. Aparently it's OK for her to fart in bed, normally onto my legs, as long as she says pardon but it's not OK for me to fart then pull the covers up over her head.

How's that fair? aparently that makes me a bastard
