Greetings, all! I just popped in for a quick pint for lunch. Make mine a mild off the cask please barman, thank you.

It has been a very slow and quiet day at work. In the last four hours I have had three phone calls, two faxs, and a dozen emails (eight of which were junk). Very odd. Hopefully the afternoon won't be much different.

I had an interesting and somewhat disturbing evening yesterday. Right after I got home my new young neighbor girl showed up at my door. She had moved to town to take an internship having recently graduated from university. Being the nice guy I am, I helped her move her stuff in and get set up. I also gave her suggestions as to places to go for free (or cheap) shows, food, and drink as I know that young interns usually don't have a lot of money.

Well, she had just received a check from her parents (monthly allowance) and she wanted to take me out to thank me. We went out for burgers and beers and chatted for a while. I walked her back to her door and she gave me a hug and a kiss and said, "Thank you so much! We need to go out again this weekend."

Now this girl is very cute, very young, and very fit. My girlfriend is gone until the end of August. It seemed to me that this girl was very interested in being more than neighbors. She is slightly less than half my age. She is probably going off to law school this fall. Should I risk it?

And barman, the next round is on me.

Being a good American, I always tip my bartenders and servers and I tip well. Of course, if they are female, cute, and giggle appreciatively at my jokes then they get a little extra.

Hmm that could be playing with fire, and just how old is this girl-when you say very young? My advice to you is flirt with her but wait until she's a bit older-reciprocate with the burger if necessary but leave it at that-if she really likes you she'll wait for you-and you her of course. Thanks I'll have a lemonade please.
