I really like canvas-shoes. Well, actually i hate socks. They are like condoms, you know.......get the right feeling only without one. Or two. And this feeling is really cool. Also costs only 20 stones (german slang for €). That's cool too.

Can also be worn in winter. But only with a lot of concessions. (Well, that's the reason why i don't do it.

)

I also like my 12 year old, partly demolished and severely worn jeans. Looks now like stolen from a bum, but that's ok. And i like a old t-shirt of mine. It has a few little holes. Its age and actually color can't be determined anymore. I believe it was dark blue when i bought it.

Everything freshly washed, of course. Here i am guided by an advice of my old wise grandma. She allways said to me : 'It can look poor but not dirty. If it looks dirty, then there's trouble.'

I think you are cool if you simply give a damn shit on unimportant stuff. It's not so much about your appearance.

To be really cool is extremely difficult I would say. I haven't read through this thread. but cool as a word must have been invented logically as in "to stay calm or centered" in a heated or difficult situation. But society can corrupt and begin to define the act of being cool as mere indifference or apathy or even and often, ignorance towards what demands some type of action. To be cool can be happily lonely and the true feeling that your right; one doesn't care about who thinks what about him and it is not elitist either, you just know you did the right thing-which btw is pretty cool. Stay honestly cool...

I have found that some of the younger people I meet have mistaken my not giving a fuck for being cool; perhaps I am wrong and that is now the definition of being cool.
