Marilyn Monroe VS Bo Derek.

There's something I find completely unattractive about Bo Derek, and I don't know exactly what it is - she's got a nice enough body but there's something weird about her that I find a real turn-off.

Marilyn on the other hand... a goddess. It's not fair to all the others to say she's the sexiest woman who ever lived, but it's not too far from the mark.

Marilyn all the way. She had more sex appeal, she had amazingly good legs, obvious dual attributes which were outstanding but she could act well and sing. Bo Derek was manufactured for '10' perhaps not her fault but the hairstyle created for her, caught on but she wasn't as sexy as Marilyn.

I agree Marilyn had a mystic kind of vibe to her. Bo Derek was my time, and I wonder if maybe timeline has a factor in it all? This is a vintage site, and I think many of you just are proud of her for what she did in your time, and again those who think otherwise, or whatever..
I gotta give it to Marilyn for a reason most will not or did not want to admit to..." dream girl " Makes me think of Betty Page before marilyn, many girls, there is something that is special to some girls. Bo Derek to me is the better girl...Marilyn, she fucked up, her death whatever reason, she got into something, she died, if she was a strong girl that would not have happened, Bo held up, gotta respect that.
I have seen some Marilyn movies...Come on, just as bad as a Bo derek movie, Bo showed more,and Marilyn had that Something you all like, I get it.
I really and always did think a girl like music ( go figure ), but to like porn and get off on a porn stat one thing...( ginger lynn also demands respect ), but we all have that girl right?, and somtimes they have a common look.

When Bo came along she was a style icon, but little else. She lacked sparkle and personality. And as an actress... I mean have you ever watched Ghosts can't do it!...

At a personal who-do-you-fancy level, it is (for me) neither. MM I physically fancy, but she's trouble - the sort of woman I'd stay well clear of. And Bo just leaves me cold. My type of sex symbol is more along the lines of Jacqueline Bisset, Senta Berger, Stefania Sandrelli.

I might add Jane Seymore to that list. I will say Marilyn can be respected in the fact she had the expression of Sara Lynn, so I guess that makes her a bit more upscale.

Marilyn Monroe all the way. Never found Bo attractive. She had a blocky body, totally unfeminine. She was highly overrated and just got lucky with one hit film. It was all PR marketing after that, and well she didn't last long considering the hype.

Yes. The ability to project sexuality in real life, let alone through film or photographs, is difficult. Marilyn could do it. Bo can't.

You can look it up on Wikipedia, Marilyn is listed as playing " dumb blonde " characters, she did. Marilyn could not handle life as a Goddess, Bo Derek could and does.
Bo takes it all in, she goes on. she did more smoking hot movies, some with a kinky vibe like the honey on belly " bolero ", good washing and painting " Tarzan ", braids in " 10 "
Bo Derek is the best?, she is still around and cool with all she did, does that count?

Bo Derek would be hardcore compared to what Marilyn did, and you have to agree with that somewhat, Bo is body exposed, what we all want, just more.
I thought a fun comparison, but not fair. I adore my Goddess Sabrina West aka Sara Lynn, lower level of porn, old Penthouse Pet. I love the mystical vibes of the girls we want to know, Bo fails there, and I give that to Marilyn
