How do you quote a single image from a set?
I usually select everything, then delete the others 1 by 1, which is very time consuming.
I'm sure there is an easier way.

Right-click the image you want to quote, select "copy image"

Then just paste that in your message and wrap quote tags around it (or quote the original message and delete all except the parts between the [ ]'s if you want the original poster's name in it).

Thanks; I usually do quote the whole post, and sometimes deleting 100's of pics can be quite time consuming.

Its quite easy once you become familiar with each hosts bbcode

They are very different - imgbox would be the worst as its all random

The code at the start & end of a quote
- remove any part of this by accident and the quote is no more

Just be aware some hosts pics wont quote or worse they'll turn blank

pixhost .to sometimes reverts to the defunct .org and goes blank

imgbox when its having issues goes blank as well

- removed all bbcode below the 1st pic making sure not to touch the end of quote code

If your quoting the entire post - you can highlight - left click held down
what code you want removed - above and below
- right click highlighted and delete - depending what browser your using
- delete on the keyboard works equally well

I find using preview is helpful in alerting you to where you've gone wrong
Write your message , remove bbcode & hit preview

Making sure your not quoting a dead pic probably the 1st thing you should do

Copying & quoting a single image is quicker

I had the same question, and I asked it in a new thread before I happened to read this one (I did search before posting, but not using the right search terms). So this existing thread is a better place to discuss this. I'm coming from years & years on Usenet, where the "Quote only selected stuff" command is a very basic, taken-for-granted feature of the software. In any good GUI newsreader (there are dozens of 'em), when you're looking at a post that you want to reply to, you simply select some subset of it before giving the "Reply" command. That's all! It just works.

Now, where is that feature in vBulletin? Please and thank you!

P.S. in case it isn't obvious: No, fabricating a block of quoted text and/or images piece by piece, using copy & paste, is not acceptable. I've done that too many times to count, and I don't want to do it any more. So the middle ground, as things stand now (unless I'm overlooking some feature of vB that should be obvious), is to use the "Quote everything" button when replying, then delete what I don't want. And that's clumsy.
